TITLE: grim reaper LOVE INTEREST: stan uris FACE CLAIM: emily skinner* OC NAME: renee barret*
DESCRIPTION: 'i'm like a grim reaper darling, i kill everything i touch.'*
SUMMARY: renee barret* was never good with people, period. everyone felt uncomfortable with her steel stares and harsh voice, as if she was always challenging someone. when betty ripsom, the only person who could keep a conversation with renee*, goes missing, she refuses to back down from a fight. while searching for her potentially dead friend, she didn't expect it to become a large production like her many sci-fi novels.*
NOTES:
- basically renee* scares off anyone who shows interest in her
- her father left when she was young and still looked up to him, leaving her with deep-rooted trust issues
- she is not wealthy, her mother has to work two jobs to barely scrape by
- renee* is intimidating, almost scary
- it's because she usually doesn't understand social cues so she'll just kind of look at you
- betty ripsom always saw the very good in her, rather than the things that made her unlikeable
- renee* would rather listen than talk, betty loved to talk
- renee* had a deep love for sci-fi novels because she was waiting to get out of derry and start an adventure
- please try to make her at least a bit likeable, she really tries to be like everyone else. maybe do a few chapters so the readers can understand her relationship with her family + betty
- when betty goes missing, renee* sulks and tries to find any leads on where she might be
-she truly believes it's her fault betty died and her dad left, hence the 'grim reaper'
- after determining that betty was possibly swept away around her house, where she was last seen, renee* went exploring
- that's where she meets the group commonly known as the losers at the barrens
- richie invites her to the quarry
- richie calls her the 'tin-man' for her lack of emotions. renee* doesn't mind.
- she!! does!! not!! believe!! in!! pennywise!!
- when she goes to the quarry, her and stan strike up a conversation on dragons. stan is trying to convince her they aren't technically birds
- that's a base for their relationship, small random conversations about things that don't actually matter
- her and ben are brotp
- she's interested in the history of derry finding it odd and unbelievable
- renee* stands with stan when he claims that it's summer and it's supposed to be fun and not hunting clowns
- she goes into neibolt
- have her walk into an old bedroom or something while looking around nonchalantly the door can close or something
- her fear is something lame like snakes* it surprises the group because they expected like the crippling fear of death because she kinda just seems like it
- she rolls her ankle while getting away, bill opened the door after grabbing richie
- the three of them ran to the not scary at all and renee* was stunned with betty, she was in a daze until richie grabbed her and pulled her to where eddie was
- the sighting of betty made her angry, she threw a plank of wood at pennywise before bev stabbed him
- that's when realization hits her like a truck, this is real, and not some stupid myth on unsolved mysteries
- after the fight, she went to stan's bar-mitsva
- her and stan hung out a bit too, make it cute.
- they made a promise to stick together and not let the clown keep them apart
- at the final battle, when stan gets attacked he especially doesn't let renee* touch him because he really trusted her
- you can go two ways
- dies: pennywise grabs ahold of her and bites her in the neck, renee* tells the losers that she loves them all and that she should be the only one dying today
- lives: she uses a hatchet that she had in her bag. during the blood oath, she holds hands with ben and stan. renee* ends up leaving with stan and they have a picnic or some cute shit and they kiss and she kind of spills her heart out
- whatever you do at the end has do make her finally express some type of emotion outwardly for everyone to see
