Hey guys. 😄
So above is a Rose that I started on Thursday and finished Friday.  It actually has a great amount of significance and meaning behind my reasoning for drawing it... well besides the fact that I wanted to draw a rose. 😂

So, as some of you know, my little brother was diagnosed with a disease called Cystic Fibrosis (CF) when he was a baby. (Learn more at CFF.org). It mainly affects his lungs and digestive system. For example, he does lung treatments every day and takes pills before he eats so that he can digest fooodddsss. We have been involved with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF) for as long as I can remember and we do tons of different fundraising events for them, in fact, that's what I'm doing for my Eagle Scout project.

Anyway, we when CFF was first being started a mother whose little boy had CF (they used to not live past 5 or 6) heard her talking on the phone and not knowing what it was, he asked, "Mommy, why do you keep talking to people about Sixty Five Roses?" As any mother would, she told everyone she knew including the others starting CFF. Of course it was adorable and the 'Sixty Five Roses' stuck as a symbol and cute story to help raise awareness and funds.

That's where I come in. *waves hello* I remember my mom telling me this story and wanting to help raise money. I adopted the rose as my "trademark" CF symbol of awareness and looked up online how to make rainbow loom roses. Oh yeah, rainbow loom. 😂. I made my own design for the bracelet and put the rose in the middle. Then, I sold some always explaining the story behind them. Soon, they became the Western Pennsylvania Chapter's signature gift to the winners of Fifties Finest, a fundraiser where fifty single human beings do fundraising etc. and then become a Fifties' Finest.

So yeah, that's the story behind the rose and I started drawing this one at a CF event my parents started. Them having started it, my brother was the "CF ambassador". He pretty much thought, in true 11 year old fashion, that he was a celebrity. He took photos with everyone and was the star. Meanwhile, I stood in the background of said photos, trying to not be uncomfortable. 😂. Seriously though, he would get applause and I would be standing right next to him and barely get a hi. 😒😂

Sorry for the long story/rant thing, but it's just really important to me and I figured I would share. 😄

Thanks for reading,
MUFFIN

P.S.  If any of you want to know more about CF, comment or pm me and I would love to explain our daily routine etc. Beware tho I may start ranting 😂😄
