Epilogue-

Far into the future, there was this land with provinces.They are all ruled by the King and Queen. This place is called Illea. And each time the the King and Queen have a son and he becomes old enough, they hold a Selection. The Selection is a competition of a lifetime where girls from all over Illea enter. One girl from each of the 35 provinces get to come to the castle and try to steal the prince's heart (or some just want the crown). Now when the time came again for a new Selection, King Clarkson, Queen Amberley, and of course Prince Maxon, go on the hunt for 35 girls to come to their home, the castle.

America Signer was one of those 35 girls. She never thought she would be chosen. She only entered because her mother and secret boyfriend urged her to. When she was chosen she was shocked. At the castle she shoved the prince around , and hated him, yet she told him her secrets about breaking curfew and having a boyfriend who dumped her before the Selection. They then became friends. They had secret signals and loved each others company. But as time went by, they started to fall for each other. One by one, each girl left the castle. Leaving the Elite. The Elite was six remaining girls in The Selection. One of the Elite, who happened to be America's best friend since the Selection started, was caned for being caught sleeping with a guard who she was in love with. So she was out. As 3 girls left, 3 remained (America, Celeste, and Kriss). America and Celeste who were enemy's finally became friends as Celeste left the competition. Down to only two, Maxon had to choose. When he chose America everything fell apart. He and Kriss caught America up close to a guard. That guard just happened to be America's ex that she had became friends with when he arrived as a guard because of the draft. But as America tried to explain, Maxon's heart was shattered. He wanted them both to be gone. He decided to marry Kriss. America thought that everything was ruined. The love of her live a year ago just ruined the relationship of her new love, the one she wanted, the guy that was the one.

As the hour approaches, that Maxon, America, and Kriss go live on television to tell the country Kriss is going to be the new princess, The Southern Rebels Attacked. People were killed. Lives were lost. The castle was destroyed. America finally explained Aspen, her ex, to Maxon, he forgave her. He was then shot. He told her that she has the right to break his heart cause it was only ever hers to break, and she could break it again and again and he will still love her. Aspen came and took Kriss to a safe room. When he came back Aspen helped America to safety, she begged not to leave Maxon,but Maxon wanted her safe. She was alone in a safe room. She felt like she was in there forever. She kept thinking is, Maxon dead? Is he okay? What about Aspen? Is he dead? Finally she was let out. She rushed to find Maxon. When she found him in his room, he proposed to her with a ring that had both of their birthstone on it. She couldn't be more happier. But there was one thing, she would not be a princess. America would be Queen, and Maxon would be King because King Clarkson and Queen Amberley were killed. And that was that. A perfect love story. But what happened after that to the The Couple?
