Mark was never one to wish on a star when he was younger. He also didn't believe in all that make believe stuff, he wanted to know the truth about the world around him. Everyone always told him he was growing up to fast, but he liked that he wanted to grow up quickly.
It was times like this Mark really lived for, standing on his balcony over looking the lake in the back. Swishing around a drink he got from his friend Felix who was doing just as well, if not better with his life.
He worked hard for these moments when he was younger, being the CEO of many companies he was worldly famous. Yet still managed to keep a peaceful, unstressful life. He smirked to himself when he picked up his head and saw a crescent of the moon and a star next to it.
He turned and put his back to the sky and started to speak to it.
"I would wish for something, but you should know I don't believe in that kind of stuff. Though it would be in good fun, let's see something I would wish for? I already have everything I could want." He spoke to himself.
Mark stood silent for a few more moments when he finally snapped the fingers that were in his free hand and turned to the small star. "I guess I would wish for another person in my life, one that's interesting like Felix, but more responsible like Ken, and someone smaller then me so I can tease them saying 'I'm always looking down on you' I guess."
He downed the rest of his drink and stood straight to leave the cold turned night. "Got all that?" He smiled and walked off satisfied with himself, he knew wishing on a star wasn't gonna do anything but hay, it's fun to lighten up every once and a while.
What he didn't expect was for it to really come true.
