Rain was pouring outside the house that Della will be leaving for good heavily. It was as if the nature was showing the inner grief of Della by crying in her place. Just because she can't express her emotions in personal matters doesn't have to mean she doesn't feel emotional. She didn't complain once when both of her parents were found to have affairs. She didn't beg them to not to divorce and break apart the family. Because she knew that they might have done that for her but none of her parents would be happy. Of course she can't cause others unhappiness . It's not in her nature. She cries even for a cat's death but she can't even cry out her grief. Inspite of her not wanting, her parents divorced and will be living with their own sweethearts. So Della would only do one thing. She would leave them alone. Though both of her parents wanted her come with them, she clearly refused with emotionless eyes and decided to live with her grandparents in a remote area. She could never understand the feelings of couples. She rather thought love is something beyond her understanding. However her granny's call brought her in the real world breaking her lines of thoughts. "Della dear, are you packed? Your grandpa is here with the taxy. We will leave now. ""Sure. I will be there in a moment', Della said. Her grandpa came in and looked at her. "Give me the bags, Del. ""Thanks gramps. But you know that I am stronger than you. "Inspite of her sadness she couldn't help smiling at her grandpa's concern. She took her bags and looked at the house for the last time. She felt emotional. So she hastily got out and put her things in the cab. She determinedly avoided to bye her parents. How could she have baid them good bye. She left her emotions in the house and started towards a new life.
