'Where are we going to live anyway?'

Betty's POV

We were on our way to Toledo when we saw a familiar face at the gas station. Hermione Lodge, V's mom, what was she doing here? She was supposed to be in Riverdale, right? I asked Jughead to stop by at the station and he obeyed.

''Wait, Hermione? What is she doing here?'' Jughead whispered to me suspiciously.
''I have no idea, really, but let's check.'' I said quickly while Jug parked the bike.

We went over to Hermione just once she had paid her gas.

''Mrs.Lodge! Hi, what are you doing here?'' I asked trying to sound surprised.
''Ohh, Elizabeth! Ehh, well hello! She stuttered awkwardly. '' I'm heading back to Riverdale now, I was just, ehh..., fixing my car! Right!'' She managed to get through not thinking we would see through her fasade.
'' What are you really doing? Doing Lodge business? Jughead snatched at her.
''Jughead Jones.'' She declared. '' Keep your filthy Serpent aura away from me.'' She whispered while gently pulling me aside.

She dragged me across the parking lot, and when Juggie tried to come after a man in a black suit came out of the car and yelled at him.

''That boy isn't good for you Betty, you should hang out more with Veronica and get together with a bulldog. Build your perfect life with support from the Lodges.'' She smiled, gently, but I could see the evil in her eyes.
''Never, ever!'' I yelled while I punched her in the stomach and ran across the lot to find Jughead with the suit guy standing with a greedy look. I called on Jughead and he ran over to me and we got on the bike.

Alice's POV

''I'm definitely writing an article about Penelope and Hal, shame on them!'' I yelled bitterly at FP

''C'mon Alice, he will throw you out! Just deal with them, we'll be alright.'' He said with a calming tone.

'' There are no 'us', I mean, what will everyone think? The cute teenage couple's parents are together? There's no way this will work FP.'' I declared with tears running down my cheeks.

He pulled me into a tight embrace and said a few calm words about that no one needed to find out, the world got blurry and I fell asleep.

Jughead's POV
Our plans was to drive all the way to Toledo, no stopping for food, even though our stomachs were rumbling in hunger we didn't dare. There were just a couple of miles left and we didn't know if Hermione had been following us. Betty was sitting behind me tightly holding my back. I could tell she was cold because she was shivering when she said,

''Jug, I.. It's rea.. really cold h..here''. She stuttered
'' I hear you Betts, we will stop by Burger King, it's not far away, and we could get some food too.''

''But.. J..Jug, what abo..about Her..hermione? We needed to stop, I knew that but she was right, we would just stop by really fast.

'' It will be fast, I promise.'' I mumbled trying to keep calm.

Time Skip - In Toledo.

Betty's POV

We went up all the crazy wanky stairs up to the Jones apartment. I was really nervous when Jug knocked on the door, I mean, what if they didn't like me at all? She opened the door and looked out. She jumped a little when she saw me and Jughead.

'' Ohh! Hi Jughead!'' She kissed him on his forehead, even though he was a bit taller than she was.
'' And you must be Betty! His girlfriend.'' She looked at me with a gentle smile.
''Yeah, nice to meet you!'' I said, with nervosity in my voice.
''Mommy, who's there?'' A quiet voice said from inside.
''Jellybean! I thought you were in school today!'' Jughead said with a wide smile on his face. He bent down to hug his little sister.
''Honey, Jughead came together with his girlfriend here, they wanted to visit us.'' Mrs. Jones explained for her.
''Jughead has a giiiiirrrlfrieeend?'' She asked with a grin on her face.
'' Yeah, it's me'' I said also bending down a little to shake her hand, but she insisted on a hug, which I gladly acepted.

We was invited to stay the week in the extra bedroom. I had never felt more at home, Jellybean was really exited to see us and insited that she would be sleeping in the room next to us. She was just adorable! Their mom was the best too, she quickly learned that I didn't like chocolate on my pancakes, which she made every morning. While Mrs. Jones went to work and JB went to school we spent some quality time together.

''Where are we going to live anyway?'' I asked worridly
''You'll see'' He said calmly. ''There is a place in Greendale with a little backgarden.'' He hinted.
''Jug, why that house?'' I was horrified.

''We need a place to stay and all the other places where unafortable, I got this for free.''He said, sounding a little bitter.
''I'm sorry Juggie, I love you, everything will be alright.'' I promised.

The house we were moving into was an old teacher's house. The house we were moving into where previosly owned by Geraldine Grundy.
