Darkness.
The natural state of Earth.
Without the rays of the sun.
Without electricty.
So why do we fear it?

The truth is we don't fear the dark,
we fear what's in it.
What's hidden and what we don't know.

We live in the light,
So we can fool ourselves,
That it's real, that it's the truth,
Because it is seen.

But that is where our fault lies.

If you live life believing that you need light to see,
Then you'll miss everything.

You see, darkness is always there,
it always precedent's light.
It is always waiting.

Light is energy.
Darkness is absence.
They do not connect.

Light infects dark,
but it never overtakes it.
It's the greatest war,
But it's already been won.

When the turn out the lights,
When the coal runs out.
We will be washed into darkness.
But maybe then will we finally see.
