"Rose, please don't go! Stay with me, you'll make it through, I promise you!"

"I promise you"... Those were the last three words I heard someone say before I completely blacked out and fell into the hands of darkness.

"Wake up, wake up!" Luke said as he was shaking my shoulders, "You were having a nightmare again."

"I know, everytime I dream it, it becomes more and more realistic. Why do I keep dreaming the same nightmare?" I asked Luke with a confused look on my face.

"I don't know, maybe it means something." He said jokingly.

"Whatever, I'm fine now so you can go back to bed. I'm going downstairs to grab a glass of water."

Luke, my older brother, went back to bed and I started making my way downstairs and into the kitchen. Halfway down the stairs, I heard something break. The noise came from the kitchen. I then decided to go into the kiktchen to investigate. Either way, I was going there to grab a glass of water. I turned on the kitchen lights and sure enough, something did break. The window was broken! I looked around to find the object that might have broken it and I found a rock. Along wth the rock came a note. The note read as followed:

"Rose, be careful..."

I then looked out the broken window to see if the person who threw the rock was there. No one was there. The stove clock read 3:47 A.M. "Crap," I thought, "there's school tomorrow." I filled myself up a glass of water, drank it, and went back to bed. Tomorrow was going to be the first day of school and I didn't want to show up looking like some bum.

My alarm rang at 6:00 A.M. That means it's time to get ready for school. I looked into my walk-in closet to decide on what I should wear for the first day of high school. I chose to wear a pair of black skinny jeans, a neon yellow T-shirt, black converse shoes, and a red beanie. I applied my eye liner and mascara. After brushing my teeth and grabbing my school items, I made my way downstairs to the front lawn to wait for my ride. Five minutes later, Kaylee showed up and we headed to school. Kaylee and I have been best friends since the third grade. She's always been there for me whenever I happened to scrape my knee from falling or when I was bullied. I've been there for her too, like the time I "helped" her with her homework. By "helped" I meant let her copy all my work and answers. She mostly asked for homework for our Honers Algebra 2 class. I had an A in that class while she had a B.

"So are you excited for school, Rose?" Asked Kaylee with a huge smile on her face that spread from ear to ear.

"Not really, I'm sort of nervous. I'm nervous about what people will think about me. I'm nervous about my classes, and much more." I replied insecurely.

"Say, what classes did you get? She asked.

"Ummm, let's see... hold on, I have to find my class schedule." I said as I started to go through my Gir backpack. "Found it! This year I have Honors English 2, Honors World History, Honors Chemistry, Honors Pre- Calculus, Human Anatomy and Physiology, and last but not least, Band P.E."

"Woah, that's a lot of honors classes, and on top of that you have band. You're such a nerd." Kaylee said with a smirk on her face.

"Shut up, I'm doing all this for my own good. My parents are never proud of me, no matter what I do. I could've dropped out of high school and they wouldn't really care. But if I have an advanced education, then hopefully I'll be out of their house when I turn eighteen."  I hopefully said.

"Yeah, I get you. Anyways, we're here and the bell is about to ring, so we better get a move on!" She said as she hopped out of her car and ran inside school campus.

I followed her but I didn't run. Instead, I took my time and leisurely walked inside. Wow, my second year in high school already. Only two more years and then I'll be free from my parents. Before I arrived inside the campus gates, out of the corner of my eye I saw something move. I turned around and I saw something. No, not something, but someone

Then in the blink of an eye, he was standing before me. He had black hair as dark as a raven's feather and bright green eyes that shone like emeralds. He was as pale as snow, almost like Snow White. He was about to tell me something when all of a sudden, the school bell rang. I turned around and ran towards my first class.

During lunch, I told Kaylee all about what happened in the morning. I told her about the stranger and how he came up to me and I also told her about the rock that broke my window. She looked at me in disbelief and said, "Wow, Rose, weird things are happening to you.  First it's the rock now it's some stranger dude that came up to you."
