meeting people for the first time can be crazy fun, but it can also be a complete disaster, especially if you throw kids into the mix.
recently, mrs. nam, owner of boba tea daycare, found the need for more employees in for her business and promoted it all over the busy city through fliers. with the help of her managers, she chose eight teens whom she believed would fit best for the jobs.
and how was their first meeting? well, we'll leave that for you all to decide.

"welcome to boba tea daycare! come in, come in- don't be shy!"
six teens pile into the building's lobby only to each be immediately greeted by a stout, middle-aged woman in a tight embrace. some hug back, either awkwardly or genuinely, whilst the other half stand stiffly in response. two girls stand next to the woman, one with a smile as bright as the sun, the other mirthlessly glancing at the group in silent judgement before turning back to her phone.
"it's great to see you all again! i'm sure the kids here will just love you all," the woman smiles brightly. "if you don't remember, i'm ms. nam. i'm the owner of this establishment, a.k.a. your boss. these are my daughters, who will also be your co-workers."
the two teens bow politely to the group and vice versa.
ms. nam claps her hands happily. "now, before we get started with the tour, how about you all get familiar with one another while i grab your contracts?"
nods and hums of agreement send ms. nam off to search for her stacks of papers, leaving the small group of teens in an awkward silence. a girl, wearing a wide smile and brightly colored clothes, clears her throat politely to gain the attention of her peers. her short and petite figure sends a quiet persona to the group, making it seem like the best way to begin introductions. what a grave misconception they all made.
"HI EVERYONE!"
the group jumps in surprise at the loud greeting, completely shocked that such a booming voice could come from someone so small.
"i'm yoon aeseon. i am 18 years old, have a deep connection with basically anything sweet, and can't wait to work with all of you!!" the blonde quickly spits out, bowing at an exact 90° angle with a goofy grin still on her lips.
