"Greenberg take a lap!" Coach yelled as I sat down in the bleachers.
I had to wait after school for Stiles since he was my ride home and I absolutely hated walking home.
"Come on! Faster Greenberg!" Coach continued yelling. "McCall what are you waiting for? Let's go!"
Scott got ready and picked up the ball. He sprinted in Jackson's direction trying to get past him and score a goal. Scott seemed very distracted now because as he was about to pass Jackson he was knocked back onto the grass.
Scott quickly got up and Coach walked over to him. "Hey McCall. Hey McCall. My grandmother can move faster than that. And she's dead. You think you can move faster than the lifeless corpse of my dead grandmother?"
"I can't hear you!" Coach shouted to whatever Scott mumbled.
"Yes Coach!" Scott replied.
Scott got up and ran back to the front of the line. "McCall's gonna it again. McCall's gonna do it again." Coach informed the rest of the team.
"Let's go." Coach blew his whistle signalling Scott to go again.
Scott tried to make the shot again. He picked up the white lacrosse ball from the ground with his stick and sprinted up to Jackson. As Jackson and Scott raced up to eachother, Scott rammed into Jackson knocking him to the ground. Jackson grabbed his shoulder in pain as Scott grabbed his helmet in pain too. Everyone crowded around Jackson but Stiles ran up to Scott who was kneeling with his head on the grass.
Stiles must have thought something was going to go terribly wrong so wasting no time he helped Scott run back to the school. Without thinking I ran after my two best friends. Nearing the school I saw a figure in the woods out the corner of my eye. I stopped and looked closely to find Derek Hale staring back at me. I quickly started running again and kept following Scott and Stiles.
I got into the school door the entered just in time to see them rushing into the boys locker room. I rushed in just in time to hear Scott growl at Stiles: "Get away from me!"
It was then I realised the thing crouching on the floor of the boys locker room wasn't my best friend anymore it was something you expect to see in a movie, not real life. His face had transformed under his helmet. His teeth were canine, his nose dog-like, but most noticable were his eyes. They were a glowing golden colour and they had a killer look in them.
I was too shocked at what I was looking at to move or look away. I thought he was going to kill us. Stiles backed away from Scott, terror clear in his eyes. We were done for.
Then just like that Scott leaped forward and tried to kill us. Stiles turned quickly grabbing my hand in the process and running around the entire locker room trying to get away from Scott, but it was almost impossible. We thought we could get away from Scott by hiding behind lockers and being surrounded by them you'd think it'd work. But it didn't. Everywhere we tried to go Scott seemed to turn up to block our path. It was like he was the predator and we were the prey.
I let go of Stiles hand just as he started running one way and I ran the other hoping he would be confused as to who to chase. Unfortunately he didn't hesitate to chase after me. I ducked down behind a row of lockers and tried to calm my breathing. I could die. I could be killed by one of my best friends. I heard a loud thump above me. I slowly lifted my head up and saw Scott on top of the lockers, reading to jump down and probably eat me.
I looked around for Stiles and saw he had the fire extinguisher and was trying to figure out how to use it. I quickly ran in the opposite direction attempting to buy Stiles some time. After I saw Stiles had figured out the fire extinguisher I ran back towards him.
