Chapter 5: Results

"(M/n)?" 

"(M/nnnnnnn)??"

"(M/N)!"

Startled awake, (M/n) quickly darted his eyes around the room. He instantly took notice of the area, and recognized it as a hospital room.

"Are you ok?" Itsumi asked by his side, voice shaking from emotion.

"Yeah," (M/n) stretched, "Just sleepy." 

"Oh thank goodness!" Itsumi held her head in her hands.

 "What's happening?" (M/n) asked with wide eyes.

This was his first time seeing Istumi cry, although he still hasn't known them for very long.

"We thought y-you w-wouldnt m-m-make i-it-" Akihiro slid the room door open and entered solemnly.

"Istumi... I think you should rest, ill watch hi-" Akihiro lifted his face to see his wife crying before turning his gaze towards (M/n).

A look of relief washed over Akihiro's face as he rushed over to (M/n)'s side. "Oh my word! We thought you wouldn't wake up!!"

"What?" (M/n) asked, he was still confused about this whole situation.

Akihiro called his kids into the room. Seconds later, Lilith ran in and jumped on (M/n) as she cried. Eiji walked in a few minutes later, relief also washing over his features.

"What's going on?" (M/n) was beginning to feel a little irritated.

 Itsumi struggled to her her words out, and Akihiro was too busy comforting her.

 "Since everyone here seems to be dramatic." Eiji rolled his eyes. "You were in a coma for a few days, maybe four or so.. They...found you in a pool of blood, with a huge gash across your chest."

 Itsumi began sobbing silently as her son continued.

 "When we received a call from a hospital informing us of your whereabouts, we couldn't help but assume the worst." 

Everyone watched (M/n) silently.

"(M/n)," Itsumi swiped away a tear.

"I am so glad you're awake!" She held the heterochromatic boy's hand tightly. "Wanna go get something to eat? You must be so hungry, wait, of course you're hungry! You were asleep for four days-" 

The doctor walked in shortly after.

"I'm glad to see you awake" The man spoke. (M/n)'s eyes widened, his face looked familiar..

 "A man came to drop off a letter for you" The doctor walked over and placed the letter delicately in (M/n)'s hands and then briskly walked out of the room, closing the door behind him.

Everyone's eyes flew to the letter.

"Is that your results?" Eiji asked, excitment coming back to his voice.

"Open it, (M/n)!" Lilith stared.

Pulling the seal off, (M/n) noticed a little metal plate inside. He gently took it out and placed it onto his lap. The plate thing began to glow and shot a little projection into the space above it. the number one hero's face popped up onto the screen.

"It is I, All-Might!" The hero yelled.

"What?!" The family awed.

 "Now, young (M/n). You managed to score right in the middle of your fellow contestants." 

Itsumi reached out and held (M/n) hand.

"Which means you are on the fence of both failing and passing." Everything around (M/n) felt like it was slipping away.

"If that was all there was to it." All-might added. (M/n) felt like his stomach might explode.

"First, take a look at this video!" All-might pointed a remote to a screen behind him that revealed the silver haired boy and a bob-cut, brown haired girl. She gave word on some boy named Midoriya, and how he saved her. Then stood aside to let the boy speak.

"Uh, can I ask you guys for a favor?" he spoke.

"They came to negotiate directly in person after the exam!" All-might added in as the video continued.

"Um, the boy with the weird eyes, and the (H/c) hair; gives off the 'I'm shy don't talk to me, but actually talk to me please' vibe?"

"I most certainly do not gives such vibes," (M/n) whispered to himself, though the family nodded  to the screen in agreement.

"Is it possible for me to give him some of my points?" All-Might paused the video and walked in front of the screen.

 "You, and a boy by the name of Midoriya, seemed to have spurred others to act," (M/n) tried to take deep breaths to calm his beating heart. Lilith rubbed his back for support. 

"The entrance exam the other day was not graded only on villain points! How can a hero course reject people who save others and do the right thing? This is a job that requires risking one's life to put that lip service into practice!"

"Lip service?" (M/n) thought.

"Rescue points!" All-might shouted, "And they're given by a panel of judges," 

The screen showed sixty points, "(M/n) (L/n), sixty points, and Tetsutetsu, forty-five points!"

(M/n) was told that the gray haired boy was the one to save him from bleeding out as well.

"You both pass!" Everyone around (M/n) began cheering wildly.

 Akihiro pulled a handful party poppers out of his back pocket, and a weird hat. Itsumi followed suit, joining her husbands odd celebration.

(M/n) could no longer fight the tears from flowing down his face. Eiji gave the him a thumbs up while Lilith stared at him in awe.

"Come, young (M/n)." "This is your hero academia!"
