I gave out a sigh as I packed the last of my things in a cardboard box.
"There, all done" I said.
"Done already?" A voice said behind me. I jumped and turned to see a man in a UPS uniform with salt and pepper hair and a clipboard and a pen in his hand.
"Lord Hermes," I kneeled in front of the god.
"Rise child, I'm only here on business," he said and gestured to his attire. He walked over to my stuff and placed a packing sticker on the top box, then they all disappeared with a pop.
"Ummmm, where did all my stuff go?"
"To your new home of course," he told me and waved the clipboard in front of me. I took it and was about to pick up the pen when,
You bring me a rat?
George! Don't scare the poor girl.
"Ahh!" I screamed and dropped the pen.
Ouch!
“Sorry, George and Martha!” I exclaimed then swooped down and grabbed the pen/caduceus and quickly signed the paper. Handing the clipboard back to Hermes he gave me a letter. I opened it and gagged at the sudden wave of perfume that wafted off the paper. It instantly clicked in my head who wrote this. The letter read:
My dear Annabeth,
I have gotten word of your plan to surprise Percy, and I would like to help you if you don't mind me doing so. I have already put your disgise in your room at your new home. I also have put in a small separate wardrobe for you. Just to give you a heads up (real shocker there. A heads up from a God or Goddess is practicly unheard of) I will be giving you and optional outfit at the begining of each day. Your mother insisted that I give you a choice and didn't force anything on you. Have fun!!
With love,
Aphrodite
