She sat in the dark,
Not a ray of Hope in sight.
Closing her eyes she saw him,
Staring through a light so dim.
She smiled but it faded as fast as it came.
Replaced by realisation all the same.
She cried for a love she lost.
She cried for a love she never had.
He was there when needed the most.
Unknowingly she took his hand,
Praying she was not falling.
Scared she fell too deep,
Into a love they could never keep.
