Aubrey
We were staying at my mom's house for a couple of days since the mansion wasn't done yet. It would be done in two or three months. By then our schedules will have calmed down so that we can move in. I've always wanted to raise my kids in my city but it's easier and convenient for my job if I lived in L.A., for now. If I had it my way we'd be here permanently but it wasn't just my choice anymore and Robyn wasn't too fond of the idea when I vaguely brought it up when she was pregnant with the twins.

I bought my mom a bigger house a while back but nothing too big because of her preference so she had rooms to pass around. My alarm woke me up a couple of minutes before eight in the morning and I'd just been..thinking. The kids usually took charge of waking Robyn and I but knowing my mom, she was most likely already treating them to a gourmet breakfast.  I was not used to having time to just "think" unless I was in the studio and I haven't been there in what seems like ages.

After the twins were born, I had finally gone on my tour and lemme just say a one year old and two newborns on a tour bus..not the best idea. But we handled it just fine I find. Ever since then I'd been more focused on my business ventures so that Robyn could focus on her music. I hadn't told her that that's why I took my hiatus cuz I knew she'd spazz but I felt like it was fair. She'd been putting her work on pause for our family and now it was my turn. Besides, I needed me some Fenty music, plus I missed watching her perform. She was always her happiest on stage.

I was sitting up on my side of the bed as I took my phone off the charger and checked my messages. Melissa was flying in today since she was enjoying her vacation with her boyfriend of almost three years I think. Quinton was a cool guy; he and Melissa meshed well. He was like the calm to her storm.

She had texted me saying that her plane was landing in less than an hour, and I was on uber duty apparently.

"Baby, wake up." I glanced over my shoulder to see my fiancé now taking up all my space on the bed and I just chuckled while shaking my head.

She had stretched out her leg from underneath the thin covers while flipping her head to the opposite side.

"Rob," I rubbed her thigh gently trying not to startle her, "you needa get up." I kinda felt guilty waking her up since she'd been so drained.

"Aubrey..pleasee." She whined quietly.

I rolled my eyes a little before moving back into my spot and throwing my arm around her in the process. I kissed her neck and behind her ear slow and lightly, and I instantly knew she had shivers by the way she had moaned so lowly. It was almost as if she didn't want me to hear since she reacted by smacking her lips a couple of seconds after I stopped and dragged the covers over her head.

I sighed before moving off the bed. "I'm going to get Melissa from the airport and when I get back you better be ready. Your appointment with the dress lady is soon." She didn't respond so I was assuming that she was already sound asleep. Work really was getting to her.

I'd done my morning routine right after and proceeded to change into something casual and that fit the weather; despite the forecast, it was looking bright and sunny. A good day to take the kids out to the park or something. I would like them to grow to love this place as much as I did when I was their age. Call me a sucker but this place would always and forever be home to me. Nothing compared to what I felt and relived when I was here.

I left the bathroom when I was done and went back into the room for my cologne that was on the dresser. Robyn had removed the blanket from her face and she didn't look too bright in her sleep. Before I could even reach the dresser, I placed my hand on her forehead causing her to flinch a bit and that was when I felt the heat.
