"Your duffel bag is in the corner, next to the nightstand." Aubrey reminded me for the second time already once he stood up after tying his shoelace.I was sitting in one of those hospital chairs that flip into a mini bed while finishing my call with our nanny, Rose. She informed me that she'd just picked up Ace and Syden up from Jenn's house (it was her youngest son's birthday party) and that they were now on their way home. Meanwhile, Aubrey and I had been at the hospital with Alina for her sleep study.
We had been back in L.A. for a couple days now and today was the day of her appointment. We had agreed that I was going to stay overnight with Nana and he was going to stay at the house with the kids, and looking back at the decision, it was the right one.
Aubrey had been up early in the morning, double and triple checking everything, taking calls and mainly hovering over everything. He was anxious to say the least and I knew why.
When Alina's night terrors first started, our doctor had ran some tests with her and determined that her sleeping disorder stemmed from built up anxiety. Aub and I tried finding the root and we came to realize that we were actually the culprits...
About two months ago, around that time, Aubrey and I had a huge fight and I mean..huge..and sadly..Alina witnessed it. From that point on, she was troubled with vivid nightmares.
The doc had informed us that she required a generally peaceful as well as calm environment and a strict sleeping schedule to overcome it and we had been doing that, but still it wasn't very effective. From there, I think Aubrey felt a strong sense of guilt towards this entire situation.
"Baby you okay?" I asked him as I watched him stare at the world from our hospital room's window with his arms crossed over his chest and his foot soundlessly tapping the ground.
"Yeah. Don't worry," he said without looking at me, "Do you know how long the prep is going to take? She's been gone awhile now."
Setting my purse down on the bed, I gravitated towards him and my arms soon found their way around him. I left some kisses on his shoulder blade before he turned in my hold to envelop me in his arms in return.
"They're just running some quick tests and gettin' her settled in, she'll be back in no time love."
I sent him a small smile without showing my teeth in which he returned, feeling less tense than before.
"Yeah, you're right.. I'm just trippin'."
Meeting my gaze, he then lowered his head and kissed me softly.
His lips danced with mine for some time before I felt his tongue glide across my lips.
To much protest, I let a weak moan escape once my lips parted and his tongue mingled with mine. My ass cheek was being squeezed by his hand whilst the other one was situated at the small of my back, pulling me closer to him.
Good thing we had a private room.
Realizing we were getting very, very sexual (I could feel his shit poking me through his shorts), I broke the kiss and was met with a frown on Mr. Graham's face.
"I wasn't done Robyn," he announced once I broke away from his hold as well and went to retrieve my ringing phone. He gave my ass a smack before I got too far away. "Fine ass."
I sent him a smirk at the same time I answered Rorrey's call.

It was one of those rare days, Sunday this time, that most of us appeared to be in the same city so Aubrey and I decided to host a somewhat "traditional" Sunday dinner with our peoples. Realistically, the only thing traditional about it was that it was on a Sunday...
