I woke up at some time early in the morning, with my heart beating erratically, anxiety pumping its way through all parts of my body. It always happened when I was in a new place.
It was still dark outside, so I imagined that it was about 3 or so.
The rapid pounding of my heart against my ribcage made me think how I'd never calm down if I wasn't among another human, assuring my panic ridden mind that I was not the only person in existence in that moment.
I got up, and went to Vic's room, hesitating while I watched her sleep peacefully, before I gently crawled into bed with her.
She stirred slightly before I was completely settled, but never actually woke up.
I turned in the opposite direction of her, sure not to take up too much of her bed.
Since she lived in a solitary dorm like me, she also had the two twin beds pushed together to make a full one.
I closed my eyes and slowly calmed before slipping back into slumber.

I woke up again around 6. I was very warm, and the reason for that was because Vic was cuddled next to me, am arm over my waist, cheek rested on my lower ribcage. She looked adorable like that. I gently moved her off of me then rolled back over, claiming sleep once more.

I woke up again and found myself alone. It felt weird that Vic had risen to find me in her bed. I was worried that I might have freaked her out.
I smelled food and heard voices, so I followed it.
When I entered the kitchen, Victoria was the only one there, but she had music playing quietly and was humming and singing; that was the "voices" I had heard.
"So come over here sit next to ME!" She sang out.
I chuckled louder than I meant to, and she whipped her head over to me.
I prepared myself for her to get upset with me, but I should have known better than that.
She smiled and came to me, bubbling with energy and jubliance.
"Hey." She said.
This made me laugh because I was ready to listen to her freak out and ask lots of questions like a hyper little kid.
"Hey." I said back.
She blinked at me, and I noticed the shock of green in her brown eyes.
"Are you ok?" She asked.
I nodded. "You ask me that a lot."
"I ask everyone that a lot because I know what it's like to look 'ok', but not be 'ok'. You get me A-Ron?"
I both shook and nodded my head, causing her to giggle.
"Good enough." She said and went back to the stove. "Have a seat."
She gestured to the three card tables that she had set up, with seven chairs spread around them.
I sat down in the middle on the far side. I listened to Vic hum some more, and just enjoyed the inner peace and solitude I was feeling.
"Oh, you know what," Vic turned around, "Your clothes are in the dryer."
I stood up. "They are?"
She nodded. "Yeah, and they are clean. I washed them too."
"Oh... thank you." I said and moved to her wash room.
I got into her dryer, being careful to not touch bras or panties because I'd feel weird and creepy if I did.
