Reverie (JaDine One-Shots)

Argument

It was a rest day for me and James.

We just spent the last few days going on mall tours and going to tapings and interviews for different shows to promote Never Not Love You. On top of that, we had endorsement shoots on days we weren't promoting.

It's been stressful for the both of us since we both haven't had any time for ourselves, always too tired to have sex after a long day's work. Thank God Viva let us have a day off.

We were cuddling on the couch living room. I was on my phone scrolling through Instagram while he was playing Assassin's Creed on the PS4. 

After a while, I called his attention and asked what he what food he wanted since I was hungry.

"Love, what do you want to eat nga?" I asked him for the third time already. Pero he just kept on playing, as if he didn't hear me. Maybe he really didn't, I'm not sure, pero sobrang nainis ako sa kanya.

I got up the couch and padabog na tinapik yung tuhod niya.

"James!"

He paused the game and looked up to me, "What, love?"

"Anong 'what, love?' ka diyan. I'm hungry na. Kanina pa kita tinatanong kung anong gusto mong kainin para I can order food for us na, pero di mo naman ako sinasagot. Parang wala kang naririnig."

James reached out to me and held on my arm. 

"Sorry, love, I was distracted. But wait lang, I'll finish this game lang, okay? Tapos I'll be the one to order food for us na lang."

"James ano ba," I said as I stepped away from him and walked towards the kitchen. 

"I told you I'm hungry na nga eh, pero di ka naman nakikinig. Lagi ka na lang 'di nakikinig. Dyan ka naman sanay..." I muttered.

When I looked back, I saw how James was surprised at my outburst. "Love..."

"Sige na, go back to your precious little game. It's obviously more important than me, diba?"

"Love, what has gotten into you?" 

James got up from the couch and started closing the game. 

"I was just playing a game, you were on your phone. Why are you suddenly mad at me?"

"Ako? Mad? Hindi ako galit ah. I'm just fucking annoyed kasi obviously, priority mo yung video games kaysa sakin," I yelled at him as I watched him close the PS4 and TV and started packing away the console.

James looked to me and just stared at me in disbelief.

"Love, are you being serious right now? What the fuck? One minute we were okay. Jeez, we weren't even fucking talking a few minutes ago. We were just minding our own business. And now you're mad?! I'm the one who should be mad 'cause I don't fucking know what the fuck is happening right now," James yelled back.

I just stared at him, not knowing what to reply to him, 'cause I honestly didn't know what to say.

"You know what, I'll go upstairs muna and play there, 'cause obviously you don't want me here right now. Come up when you're ready to talk," James said and got his phone from the couch and went up the stairs.

I sighed and sat down on one of the stool chairs.

It was one of those days where my mood was all over the place. One minute I was okay, next I was feeling really annoyed.
