It was another day in the Blackwatch base. Everyone doing their jobs. You on the other hand, were hiding behind a couple of crates, playing games on your phone. One of the crates moved to reveal a slightly annoyed Jesse. "You really snuck off to play video games. Without me?" He asked sitting next to you and putting the crate back. "Yeah, you looked busy." You said with a slight smirk. He scoffed and rolled his eyes. "Yea right. Reyes made me work harder since he couldn't find you to help." You laughed slightly knowing you got your friend to do your work while you chilled.

"Sorry." You said shrugging and handing him the phone. He continued where you left off. "I don't even know whats going on with him anymore. He's been super hard on me but doesn't even seem to care that you just run off all the time. I don't even think he bothers to look for you even though he claims he does." You shrugged. "Well if he really did he would have found me already. We are just behind a couple of crates that are soon to be moved." Jesse nodded and passed the phone back and you turned it off. "I dunno. He just seems super odd lately."

"I haven't noticed." You said. "Of course you haven't!" Jesse exclaimed. "How old are you?" You asked. "What the hell does that have ta do with anythin'?" "I'm saying stop acting like a baby about it all. I get that I'm older and I do this stuff or whatever but seriously." Jesse hit his head on the crate in the front of you two. You just laughed but that was your unfortunate mistake. The boxes moved again only to reveal an annoyed Reyes.

"Oh jeez." You said putting your phone in your pocket. "(Y/N) office, now." Reyes said before walking off. Jessed patted your back and wished you luck before moving to let you out. He stayed behind thinking it was a good break spot. You sighed and made your way to the 'Big mans' office. You made sure to stop by the lab in the way there to see how Moira was doing.

You poked your head into the lab to see her hunched over one of the counters. "Sup Moira, how's the upgrades coming along?" You asked walking over to her. She looks up to you and sighs. "They're.. Being troublesome." She said rubbing one of her temples. "Damn, want me to see what I can do?" You asked looking at what she had in front of her, she shakes her head no. She decided to take up your 'suggestion' on upgrading some of your weapons. "I have no clue where you got these things but I can't figure out how they work.." You laughed and patted her back. "I didn't get them from anywhere. I made them." She looks up to you confused. "You made these?" You smiled and nodded. "Well, I gotta go, Gabbi wants to talk or something." She nodded and looked back at what she was working on. "Also, the red and blue wires go together, never the green." You said before walking out.

Continuing the long road down to the commanders office, you waved to the few people who passed by. Once you reached his door you knocked and waited a few seconds before a gruff "Come in" was heard. You opened the door and gently closed it behind you. "You wanted to see me Commander?" You asked sitting down. "Morrison giving you a hard time again?" You asked leaning forward with a small smirk. "For once, no. He isn't but I need you to do something for me." Gabe said leaning forward on his chair as well. "What do you need..?" You asked confused. Hes never asked you to do something for him in private.

"Meet me outside the base at the cliff this evening. Maybe 6:30 or so." He said leaning back in his chair again. You tilted your head slightly then asked, "You're not gonna push me off are you?" He smiled and let out a soft chuckle. "No. Just meet me up there." He said. "Now go run 30 laps." "What?! 30!?" You yelled standing up. "Yep! That's what you get for running off and making your 'bestie' do all the work." He said mocking you slightly. You groaned and walked to the door but before you could get out Gabe called for you again. "If you don't do the 30 I'll have to make the punishment worse." You groaned and walked out.
