Annabeth Chase, dead or alive (BACK AGAIN!!! BUT SLOW UPDATES!)

Chapter 18

Annabeth POV

I stared at Jason and Piper, unable to move. Then I started to choke on my own spit.

"Oh my gods! I'm sorry! Are you ok?" Piper grabbed a napkin from her pocket and dabbed away my tears, while Jason hit my back a few times, making my coughs stop. "I'm sorry!" repeated Piper. "But did you?"

I threw their touches away, snarling in a way very unlike me. "I did!" I yelled. "But there is no way I'm telling YOU any details."

"Huh?" Jason knitted his eyebrows together. Piper looked at me, her mouth agape.

I started to storm off. I knew the way to the Big House myself! Oh, who am I kidding? I just came here to find Nico. I don't want to see Chiron! I feel my eyes tear up. I don't want to see people from my old life who I thought loved me. But they don't. Only the huntresses care, and Nico. He saved my life, after all.

Suddenly, Piper cried "Anna! Wait!"

I halted. Dang it, stupid charmspeak.

Which saved my life countless times.

"You saw Annabeth and Percy?" Piper asked, peering into my eyes. Well, technically, my contact lenses.

"just Annabeth.' I said. "But why would I tell you where? After all, if you find her, you'll just take her to the gods and try to kill her."

"WHAT!?!?!?!?!" Jason looked confused. He shook his head. "That's bizarre! You are lying! They were in a car crash, and it is believed they are roaming the world without a memory, together."

Piper nodded along with him, looking frightened.

I stared him right in the eye. "You are the one lying." I said this calmly, though I was raging inside. "They very well remember everything, from their friend's betrayal to all else."

piper stared at me, while Jason pushed me on the ground. "Shut... the Hades... up!" He cried. Tears squeezed from his eyes. "All we wanted to do is find them! The gods had nothing to do with it!"

'Yeah, right!" I laugh at his attempt to gain pity. "Annabeth told me everything! She got sent to Olympus, where they tried to kill her. Everyone wanted her dead... at least, all besides one person, who saved her life. But I'm not going to tell you who, because that person will suffer. And now you think I'm going to tell you where I saw her, so the gods can finally kill her? No way!"

I start to walk away, but Piper grabbed me. "Please," she begged, her voice choking from emotion. Tears came from her eyes. "Please, let's just go to Chiron, and all will be alright."

I look at her, trying to feel the rage I could muster around Jason, but I couldn't. This was my best friend. Maybe...maybe they truly didn't know anything.

"Fine," I decided. "I'll hear you out, but that's it!"

I KNOW! SO SHORT!
