There was a surprisingly organized rush to gather hero costumes, restrained energy swirling restlessly in everyone's hurried movements. A singleminded tenor seemed to dance throughout the dense air impressively crackling with uncontaminated, gutsy intent.
Actually stoked to undergo this supposed rescue training, (Y/n) shifted her energized (e/c) irises elsewhere, feeling the effects of a drilling stare linger at the back of her vulnerable skull.
Perhaps if eyes could theoretically throw murderous daggers, or chuck powerful explosives, surely (Y/n)'s whole frame would've been mercilessly impaled countless times by now. . . but her cocky smirk insidiously curled her lips upward, loving his hostile temperament. His extreme reactions made for a hilarious show that partially cured her boredom.
Discourteously ignoring the fuming hothead, (Y/n) outstretched her awaiting hands to accept and grab the designated gym clothes Aizawa kindly offered her.
(Y/n) blithely thanked the stoic man – secretly enjoying the manner in which his brows twitched unenthusiastically from being exposed to her excessive mischievousness – tucking the utilitarian garbs safely underneath an arm.
Aiming to follow her fellow female classmates to the allotted changing room, (Y/n) unsuspectingly bumped into a garish figure. Teetering unstably, (Y/n) soon righted herself, curiously inspecting the stranger she almost knocked over.
Her skin was a lovely pink shade that matched her unruly bubblegum locks, spindly, beige horns protruding from her head as well. Shocked at first, she remained dumbfounded for a brief interval before cheerful daffodil irises encompassed by complete darkness smiled excitedly at (Y/n).
"Sorry for running into you, new girl!" The untroubled girl volunteered an apologetic grin, backpedaling to respectfully put a decent amount of space between them.
Relaxing substantially, (Y/n) waved a dismissive hand, her inquisitiveness nearly overpowering. "Don't sweat it! I'm probably at fault too, sometimes I swear I've got two left feet with how clumsy I tend to be," she self-deprecatingly joked, chuckling to ease the accumulating awkwardness.
Heaving a comforted breath, the sociable girl laughed along. "I like you already! I thought you might be super scary after your dispute with Bakugō, but whew am I glad that's not the case!" She openly admitted, releasing a momentary, distressed gasp as a realization hit her. "Come one, we can walk and talk. I don't want to be left behind!"
A soft hand encircled (Y/n)'s wrist, gently tugging her into a casual jog. "Damn, I'm horrible, where are my manners?! I'm Mina Ashido, and don't worry about adding honorifics to my name, they're so tasteless."
(Y/n) cocked a high brow, befuddled, searching for the problem, but additionally remembering everything Mina said. Ambling alongside her company whilst on high alert, it became plainly evident her new acquaintance was trying to reunite with a peculiar assortment of girls from class.
Each had some semblance of a carefree expression plastered across their pretty countenances. Admittedly, (Y/n)'s palms grew sweaty, unaccustomed to interacting with others outside her tight-knit clique. Approaching the huddled assemblage, a differentiating chorus of acknowledgements greeted (Y/n)'s perceptive ears simultaneously.
Returning the cordial greeting in kind, (Y/n) became pleasantly amazed these numerous girls accepted her, no questions asked. Conjointly, (Y/n) strolled to their intended destination, performing something similar to a roll call.
Mina, the self-appointed mediator, warmly introduced (Y/n) to everyone present, wondrously elated to have another companion.
Tsuyu Asui: Clearly noticeable, the frog resembling girl had long, dusky seaweed hair tied into a cute, looping bow at her slim waist, pure black irises observant. One rather collected exchange later, (Y/n) respected her calm approach to unexpected situations.
