The six friends have been together for too many years; they all have seen every side of the other person, and they all have been through hell and back. The phrase 'taking a break' isn't in their vocabulary, the meaning is forgotten. The only phrase they understand is 'to have a wild time', which translates to have a blast every day instead of being bored every day.
It may not seem that bad, however, exhaustion is not a dream. From all this partying, you collapse on your cloudlike bed at the end of the day. You then start to question whether you can wake up tomorrow or not. That may or may not be an exaggeration.
Today marks the twenty-fifth of January, the day where all of this changes things. The school became over the top stressful for them, the pressure at home is increasing day by the day, and the phrase 'taking a break' is starting to make sense again.
The group of friends are gathered at their secret location, trying to come up with a plan to escape this life.
"Ohhh! How about we disguise ourselves with brilliant costumes then leave a note at home, saying we will be back later?" Ava expresses loudly.
"Instead of the note thing, we invent robots that look like us that will replace us in everything we do. So then we can leave and do whatever." Joey suggests.
"Since I am the only logical one here, I would suggest a road trip. A genius plan." Chase declares.
The six of them begin to silently think about the suggestion, that seems like a doable plan.
"And the plan is to?" Vivian asks.
"You know, get a van, pass by the market to buy food, get back in the van, then you know, do this thing called driving," Kevin interrupts.
"You don't have to be such a smart ass about it." Chase rolls his eyes.
"A road trip sounds horrible! No showers! No comfort! I say no." Malia snaps.
"Oh wait, is this based on a vote?" Kevin asks.
"If it is not based on a vote, then it should be because I am not going." Malia turns her head away.
"If it is just Malia who doesn't want to go then I wouldn't be surprised. Anyone else wants to join her? No? Okay, goodbye, Malia." Chase comments.
"What's that suppose to mean?" Malia argues.
"You always complain whenever there is an activity that requires you getting out of the house and in the sunlight," Vivian explains.
"Oh." Malia thinks for a second. "Fine, I'll go with you guys and not complain once."
"What is the catch? Because it sounds like there is one." Chase asks.
"Well, you guys have to buy something for me." Malia smiles innocently.
"What that is not fair! I want a present too!" Ava interrupts loudly.
"Yeah, me too!" Joey joins in with Ava.
"Now look what you've done," Kevin complains.
This is the beginning of a road trip that only happens once a lifetime.
They all break up the circle, to go to their houses and start the packing process.
