Andy held Blossom as she took a shaky breath in.
"Thanks for believing in me," she whispered. She let out a silent breath and went limp. Andy turned to face Jason, who stood shaking in his spot.
"No...no....Blossom," he whispered to himself. Andy shoved him aside and went out to Patrick.
"Come on, let's get him to the hospital," he said. Pete looked at him quickly and moved their friend to the car.
The whole way to the hospital, Andy's eyes remained focused on the road, but they didn't see much. He thought of Blossom. Had he made the right choice? He skidded to halt at the hospital and hopped out of the car. The nurse gasped when she saw him.
"Could Dr.Martin please come to the front?" she called into a microphone. The doctor looked Patrick over and took in a deep breath.
"We can save him, but it'll be rocky, Mr.Hurley," he told the drummer. Joe put a hand on his shoulder.
"It's okay, Andy, you didn't see it coming," he comforted him.
"That's just it, Joe, I did see it," Andy whispered.
