First Encounter

Narrator: As Layla woke up she looked to the side of her bed..Empty..She never thought of dating anyone really but, these past years she has though of it here and there. She got up and went to the bathroom to comb her hair and brush her teeth. She put on her usual uniform a one piece with long sleeves and a lab coat. She went to the kitchen and made her coffee as she yawned and got a bowl instead of a mug and poured the back coffee on the floor, instead of the "cup". She noticed and she cleaned it up but was still tired. She poured the rest of the coffee into the mug and left for work. She hated the thought if going to work just like school, how she would wake up and lay in bed only to end up falling asleep again.

Layla's P.O.V

I wake up again as I look at the clock and I panic hurriedly running out of my small apartment to the lab...I clocked in and went to my station as I see my best friend Andrew waiting there.
"Andrew im so sorry for coming in late!"

Hm...I don't know, Aw..what the h eck fine but you owe me for covering for you

"Psh..Of course. And thanks..But seriously I was tired and I barely had my coffee so your gonna have to deal with me allllll day, haha!"

I'm gonna regret this..

"What was that?"

Nothing!..

"Mhm..." I say something in Spanish under my breath as I hit my elbow on the edge of the table

I get started on tinkering with the machinery there as I hum my favorite song (suavemente)..But I'm not gonna lie being mixed has its perks..And honestly I love my job but I'm too lazy to get the screwdrive so I have my trusty spider robot to get it for me, Not long after I got it there was a huge BANG! outside and I look up to find union soldiers in front of me and it felt like I was gonna shit my pants..And ya girl usually didn't get scared

Layla Ride you are under arrest for the violation of Empire law..Sneaking and hacking into Union software

"Eehh?! Excuse me, but last time I checked I didn't hack anything..Pinche pendejos!"

I say that they look at each other and the put cuffs on my as I struggle and aboards their ship..They threw me into a cell as I hit the wall pretty hard. I never liked the Empire, because I knew who they really are under that facade. They say their for justice and peace, justice and peace my ass! If they wanted peace they wouldn't attack all those innocent people on my colony...Or take my family away from me. I look around as I remember the screwdriver in my pocket, I carefully stand as I jump swinging my arms underneath my legs so my arms are in front of me and I grab the screwdriver and I put in between my teeth as I undo the wires to the cell and cut the alarm system as I hit the cuffs against the railing as they break..So glad I took martial arts. I run down the corridor as I knock out two of the soldiers and I grab the key card and I open the doors that hold a good looking ship as I see 4 other people running towards the ship and the one in the black leather jacket yells for me to keep the door opened I do it as I aboard the ship and Mr jacket man takes the pilot seat and takes a glance back at me with a scowl on his face as the others look at me especially the one in the red vest

Who are you?..

I stay silent as the man in the black jacket spoke to me "They question is who are you" I ask

"The names Alex.."

The man in the red vest speaks up..

"Oh man..That accent though, hm..Its pretty cute you Spanish huh?"

"Don't call me cute" My tone of voice is almost intimidating as the others are shocked "What are you guy's names anyway"

A man in a blue amored suit spoke up..He wasn't bad looking but I knew he was the one in charge

"I'm Deven..Captain of this crew"

Then I looked around as the girl in a battle stance pointing a gun at me spoke up also..

"I'm Nova.."

And the man in the red vest..Ive got to say their all attractive not the girl of course I'm not into girls..But man they were fine as hell..Okay now I got to focus..

"I'm Jackson..Sharpshooter if the crew."

"Well nice to meet you all..Im Layla Ride"

Alex spoke up and I looked in his direction which made me blush a bit

"So..I hear you hacked into the Empires software..Not bad, so now your a outcast"

"I guess you could say that..But I didn't know that I hacked into the Empires software..It was a encrypted code that I unlocked"

"What?..How'd you do that?"

"I'm and engineer..Computers Is more of a hobby"

"Ah..Alright"

As were done talking I feel the ship get hit..And I know for a fact that it wasn't no meteor..
