The soldier

                           Chapter 1

Layla's P.O.V

As I felt the ship shake from the impact I looked out the window and saw it was the union. I look to the others as they were looking back at me.

"I don't know what to do..This is your
ship... I'm just a stowaway.."

"Your right but what exactly are they after.."

"Clove..But it doesn't seem like you much time their getting closer by the minute"

As all four of them went to their stations I felt someone staring a hole in my back as I turn and see Alex glaring at me like Its my fault..I mean part of it is my fault but still. I stand there like an idiot not knowing what to do. But I'm itching to start kicking the union's ass. But it's not my ship so I can't do anything. Until I hear Alex speak up.

"Hey don't just stand there..There is a union soldier who seems like to have snuck on..I need you to take him out, no complaints go."

I huff to get on his nerves. And it seems like it did just the trick.

"Did I stutter? I think not so hurry your ass up and go!"

I hurry to where the opened door is as I see the soldier getting ready to strike as I put up my arms In front of my chest. As we both run at each other and I punch him in his jaw making him to fall to the ground. He gets up and starts to run to the door.

"Nu-uh"

I run and grab the collar of his robot suit and drags him on the floor

"Ugh!..Unhand me you ugly cretin!"

He grabs my arm and drags me diwn with him and tries to punch me but I quickly dodge it just barely. And I kick him in his stomach pinning him on the ground and handcuffs his arms behind his back. And I look up to find Deven in the doorway staring wide eyed at the situation.

"I got him..phew! That was a workout" 

"You. Took. Out. A. Union. Soldire...How?"

"Uh...Self defense...Duh"

He clears his throat

"Well..Uh..Good job"

He puts the soldier in the cell for the time being as I head towards the lobby and I see nova and Jackson sitting there talking and they look up as I enter

"Well well..Look who came in the little fighter herself"

He smiles wide as I hear Nova speak up

"I heard from the captain that you took out a union soldier on your own..without a weapon might I add good work"

"Thank you..But it seemed like he's a newbie cuz his skills weren't all that great"

"Yeah..But it sucks a girl took him out though"

I have a shocked and angry expression on my face

"What was that?"

"It sucks a girl took him out"

I slapped him across the face and he fell on the ground with a shocked expression

"Well..That girl was me pendejo..Dont forget that Jackson! I bet you couldn't do it yourself you probably have to use you dumb ass gun to take him out. And women are strong just like men we have the same rights as you were humans we have a say in what we do and I sir..Did it by myself!"

I walk out past everyone and I jump shoulders with Alex. But I'm too pissed to even look at him I end up sitting away from everyone staring out in space

Alex's P.O.V

As I saw Layla walk passed me I see she's pissed. So it's best to stay away, I walk into the lobby to find Jackson getting up off the floor and has a hand mark on his cheek.

"What's going on?"

"He said something he shouldn't have..Which was 'It sucks that a girl took him out' "

"Ooh..Thats why she stormed off. You seriously need to open your eyes man.
And a girl with that temper, your a dead man"

"Yeah..Well I could have taken him out no problem"

"Jackson..Your not good with one on one combat..Your more of a gun guy. Plus she did a good job"

Nova looked up

"So...You like her?"

"What? No..Its just a compliment"

"Your heart says something different"

"Anyways..Jackson go apologise-"

"No..No way I'm apologing to a girl"

I pidge the bridge of my nose in fustraion, as I inhale and exhale and puts my hands in my pockets

"You will eventually..Im gonna go check on her"

"You do that..Im sure you two will make a great couple"

"Nova not now"

"I'm just saying"

I head towards where I saw her last and I open the doors to find her staring out the window hugging her knees as I see her hair fall to her shoulders and her eyes are a bright green and her skin looks like a carmel color. Wait..Shit I was staring, what's gotten into me? I walk over to her with my hands in my pockets and I sit down next to her but she doesn't seem to notice

"Um..Hey kid"

She looks at me then back out the window

"Hey.."

"Something on your mind?"

"A lot of things but..Ugh! Jackson gets on my nerves so bad! Just thinking of him makes me want to punch him!..oh..Sorry I got carried away"

"Ha..No it's fine I  used to feel the same thing but now I'm just used to it..but don't let him get to you"

I ruffle her hair

"Hey! It took me forever to straiten it!"

I see her pout and I blush..Its the cutest thing I have ever seen. She looks like a baby chipmunk with big green eyes

"Well I better go and tend to jackson..Sleep well Layla"

"Thanks Alex"

I was gonna go to jackson but I would rather sleep so I went in my room and fell asleep

Layla's P.O.V

I watched him leave as my stomach growled and Deven comes in and chuckles

"If your hungry go get something from the kitchen"

"Alright"

I head to the kitchen and grabs ice cream..A hamburger and a bunch of other things a while later I finish eating I get really tired so I ended up on the couch and falling asleep and then Alex and that soldier came in my mind
