Losing Friendships (Poem)

Everyone's motivation dies out sooner or later, like the slow burning of a fire, once with an eternal glow. Memories and text messages are no longer. New friends. New adventures. The person you once knew, becomes a stranger in front of your own eyes. But this I never understood.

Best friends forever?  Forever is infinite. Forever is long after everyone else fades away. Forever is after the world ends. Forever is till oblivion.

The ones who smile the most are the ones who hurt the most, that is because they are holding back the demons inside. Memories and Fun, Happiness and joy, Help and compassion, all get washed away by a monstrous wave of new people, new passions, new priorities.

People don't realize what they do hurts others inside, but maybe they do. Maybe people say hurtful, rude things just so you can sprint out of their life and it becomes easier for them.

Sometimes you are the one who needs to leave. A dark cloud of insulting and untrustworthy  thoughts can slowly kill you. But if you do leave, destroy them in the most beautiful way possible, so that they'll finally understand why storms are named after people.
