Almost everyone gets bullied or teased one point in their life. Even if it is very small or very major, anybody can struggle with it. But remember you are not alone. No matter what happens, don't give up and don't loose hope, and everything will end alright.
It takes a million compliments to build you up. And one insult to crash it all down; that's the sad reality we are living in. My motto is " If you have nothing good to say, don't say it at all," if everyone lived like that, the world would be a better place.
Let's say you insulted someone on the outfit they wore to school. It wasn't your style, so you felt the need to let them know. What if I told you that girl or boy (yes boys too) worked so hard that morning to look good in their own standards? What if that was one of the few days they thought they looked truly beautiful and handsome? Well, you not only ruined that day for them, but you also smashed their self esteem because they thought they looked good. And that doesn't even compare to what some bullies say to their victims.
But remember this; People's opinions of you does not define who you are. Everyone has different opinions of you. Instead of trying to be who the world wants you to be, but who YOU want to be, and if someone instead happy with who you are, that's their problem. Just be the best you can be and ignore them.
Although it is told to us all the time, if you are being bullied, please please please tell an adult that you can trust. Even though it seems like you can handle it by yourself, you never know if the bullying could increase and get worse. And maybe you aren't the one getting bullied. Maybe it's your friend, or just a peer you see at school, just report it, and if nothing happens, keep reporting it, because I have reported bullying before and teachers did nothing, so I just kept telling them and telling them until something happened. They cannot accuse you of nagging them because bullying is an extremely serious problem.
This is a question that you need to ask yourself, "Have I ever made someone feel less than they really are?" Be honest with yourself, if you have really bullied or teased someone before, it's time to accept it and try to make it better. And of course I understand that everyone has a motive for bullying, usually bullies have a low self esteem or something is going on at home.
What I'm about to say actually goes out to victims of bullying and bullies themselves, no matter what you are going through, just be kind and stay hopeful, everything will be okay in the end. And if you're struggling with bullying, and you have nobody to talk to, remember that I'm always here for you even if I don't know you.
