I slowly push my phone back into my pocket and observe as everyone swarms inside the room. Most faces I don't recognize until I spot the girl who was walking in front of us earlier in the morning. She sits in the middle of the classroom by another girl with auburn hair. I look down from their conversation after surveying for a moment and trace my finger along scratch marks in the desk. The class settles and takes their seats, allowing Mr. Johnson to maneuver through the rows of desks until he is standing before the class.
"Welcome back class! Today may seem like a regular ol' day for you, but for our new student," he gestures towards me as he says this, causing the entire class to look back at me, "it's his first day. I would like you all to listen as our new student tells a bit about himself." I sink into my chair further as the class watches me intently. I take a deep breath, mentally preparing to obliterate any dignity I may possess, but before I can say anything, the door to the classroom bursts open. In stumbles a raven haired, hurricane eyed boy, whom is panting dramatically, gasping for air.
"Sorry I was late Mr. Johnson, won't happen again," he announces. The class just smiles, as if this sort of occurrence happens often with this boy. He runs his hand through his hair before smiling and looking around the room.
"Alright Aidan, take your seat next to Dan, our new student," Mr. Johnson sighs. I suck in a sharp breath as our eyes meet, his being swirling pools of curiosity and excitement. He smiles, yet again with that perfect set of teeth, and plops down in the desk beside me. We make little interaction throughout the class, but I take small chances to observe him. He is wearing plain black jeans, paired with a grey hoodie covered with a jean jacket. His black hair is short in the back, but he has long bangs combed back against his head. His most noticeable features are his dark blue eyes, the small bright storms that could swallow anyone whole. With his trendy style and laid back attitude, I can only assume that he is popular within this school. There is no chance that I could ever be friends with Aidan, the boy with the hurricane eyes.
