I picked at my food silently as cam and Tess laughed on the other side of the table.

I haven't said a word all dinner, and I planned to keep it that way. Cameron hadn't said a word to me since last night, and I needed to know why. I hadn't seen Cameron this happy with Tessa in months, and it made me sick.

I looked up, making eye contact with Cameron. He quickly looked away, back at Tessa. I felt sick.

"I'm gonna go to the bathroom, be right back." Tessa said, before leaving.

I looked up from my food, to see Cameron already staring at me.

"Cameron, what the fuck?" I asked, trying to keep my voice down.

"What? Isn't this what you wanted?" He asked, angry now.

"I don't know! I thought so, but now I miss you! Why are you going this, anyways? You never cared about what I wanted before!" I yelled, making a couple people around us look around.

Cameron got silent, not answering me.

"Because.." He started, " when I kissed you, I realized that I'm starting to actually fall for you. And I don't want to do that to you or Tess. So I figured the best thing was to leave and I thought my feelings for you would be gone, but now there more then ever." He said, grabbing my hand, something he's never done before. I felt butterflies erupt in the pit of my stomach.

"Cameron, I don't know what to say."

"Don't say anything. Just show me you feel the same." He whispered, leaning in to kiss me. His lips touched mine, the softest kiss he had ever given me, and pulled away too soon.

"Annie, I'm falling in love with you."
