Sunshine

When Aria kisses me, being taken by surprise is an understatement. I cannot believe for a second that this is even happening. There are so many thoughts running through my head right now. Her soft, voluptuous lips are marrying into mine. I feel her hand come up and caress my face and I wrap my fingers into her hair. I am taken back at how good of a kisser she is. All that's running through my head right now is how I have been waiting years for this. This is the exact moment that I have dreamed about for what seems like forever. I am living in a dream right now. I am definitely distraught, but obviously kissing back. I feel our lips syncing together as she lets her left hand roam my body. She lands on my thigh and grasps it tight as if she will never let go. I run my hand down her face and stop at her hip, where I pull her closer into me. Is this really going to happen? Are we going to have sex? Just as I am thinking that, Aria pulls away and smiles at me while her cheeks turn rosy.

"Wow- just wow." I am in complete shock.

"I didn't know how else to tell you that I am totally in love with you, Grace Claire." The words that I have heard only in dreams have finally left the lips that were once woven into mine.

I kind of sit there with my mouth open, trying to think of how to form a proper sentence.

"I love you more, Aria. I always have. Since we were kids and you and Lindsey became friends. I didn't realize what I was feeling when I was younger, but as I got older I knew exactly what it was. Love. For you." I state with leftover butterflies in my tummy from that passionate kiss.

"So, where do we go from here?" I say, just being curious.

"Grace, will you be my girlfriend?" Aria replies with the best thing that could ever happen.

"I thought you had a boyfriend, Aria?" I am confused right now.

"I dumped him last night whenever I asked you to come over today. I already knew how you felt about me and that's all I needed to know."

I am in complete shock as I try to gather an answer for my Aria.

"Of course, sunshine!" I practically yell at her, smiling and giggling.

She leans in and gives me a quick kiss on the cheek. "Shall we go tell the girls?"

We walk up to Michelle's door, holding hands. As Michelle opens the door with Lindsey behind her, they spot mine and Aria's happiness and notice that we are holding hands.

Michelle screams in excitement as she can already tell what has happened. Lindsey runs up from behind Michelle to get a better look at Aria and I as we walk in.

"Holy shit! Are you guys together now?" Lindsey says as she looks at us seriously, waiting for our response.

"YES!" I yell, in extreme excitement. "We are dating now!!" I cannot contain myself. As Lindsey comes over to hug Aria and I. "I am so happy for you guys, really! You both deserve each other. Ya'll deserve happiness."

I feel a tear trying to form in my tear duct. I blink hard and it falls and slowly cascades down my cheek. I have never been so happy in my life.

Lindsey, Michelle, Aria and I all decide to go out for the first time as couples on a double date.

This mine and Aria's first date together and I am feeling a little nervous. I shower and decide to straighten my long blonde hair. Then, layer some makeup on creating a dark smoky eye to accentuate my bright blue eyes. I decide on a dark red lipstick. I slide on a black, off the shoulder shirt with black jeggings. I continue my black theme with a pair of black strapped sandals. I grab my phone and keys and slip them into my brown Michael Kors purse. I gradually make my way down the stairs and the most beautiful human is awaiting my arrival.

My eyes gaze down at Aria. I can't help but check her out. Come on, she's my girlfriend now. Damn, that feels so amazing to say. Her eyes catch mine and they make my heart melt, right into her hands like M&Ms. She has her short brown hair straightened, like mine. I pay attention to the way it cascades down the side of her face. She is dressed up in wedges, that make her taller than what she already is. A short sunflower dress sits tightly against her slim body. Sunflowers are her favorite flower. That's why I always call her my sunshine. She brings such light in my life. Even in my most darkest times. Damn. I mean, damn she looks so beautiful. I walk over to her where I find that crooked, gorgeous smile and lean in and kiss her lips softly. She looks into my bright blue greenish eyes and I can see forever right through her eyes. "Shit! My girlfriend is perfect" Aria exclaims, spinning me around and placing her hands on my hips. We wiggle our noses together, giving each other Eskimo kisses. I cant help but smile. I kiss her little round nose.

Michelle and Linds come out of their bedroom and walk around the corner. They catch Aria and I enjoying a sweet moment.

"God, ya'll are just too cute!!" Lindsey exclaims, looking at Michelle and kissing her. "Ready?"

We all get in my car and I am assigned the driver. We head to Olive Garden. That's Aria's favorite.

We get to the restaurant and we are eating dinner when Aria jumps up and runs to the bathroom. At first, I am really confused. Thinking, maybe she just needed to pee and needed to get to the restroom quickly. I pick the napkin up off my lap and jump up to go after her to make sure she is okay.

I get to the restroom and push the door open. I can hear vomiting. "Aria? Is that you? Are you alright babe?"

"Uh, yeah" she says spitting into the toilet, "I am okay, Gracey!" Aria tries to convince me. I'm not leaving without making sure she really is okay. I walk over to the stall door and stand, leaning my face against the exterior of the door. "Baby?"

Aria flushes and opens the door, wiping her mouth with a paper towel.

"Was it the food?" I say, worried.

"I don't think so."

Aria cleans up and we head back to the table. "Aria! Are you okay?" Lindsey asks while Aria looks at her and Michelle. "Yes, just a little sick to my tummy is all."

We finish dinner, pay and go back to the car. We get back to Michelle's house and Aria asks if I want to come over to her house so we have a little alone time.

Aria waits in my car for me while I go upstairs to change into pajamas. I run back down stairs to tell Michelle and Lindsey bye. After, I head back to my car. I open the door and Aria is blaring music, singing loud. All I can do is smile. How did I get so lucky? I then back the car out of the driveway and head to Aria's house, 5 minutes away.

We are now in her bedroom, laying on her bed. It smells just like her. Like sweet strawberries and daisies. "So-" Aria begins.

"Yes, sunshine?" I say back to her, catching a smile out of her.

She rolls over onto her side while I'm still laying on my back beside her, "I just love you, Gracey."

Before I can even respond, her lips land hard on mine. I kiss back harder, nibbling her lip. She wraps her hands in my hair, tugging gently. Moments pass and the kiss is growing hotter. Aria is on top of me kissing me, trailing her kisses down to my neck and biting the bottom of my neck. I let out a low moan and giggle because it tickles. I glide my fingers down her neck. My hands make their way down her back and I stop at her ass. Is this really happening? She sits up and rips her shirt and bra off furiously. I am in shock. A minute later we are both naked.

I stop kissing her to ask, "Are we going to do this?'

She hangs her head, giggling.

"Yes, baby girl."
