Seyoon and I are almost to the gym.
I start thinking about the championship and let out a sigh.
"What's wrong?"
"Oh I was just thinking about how I can't train I should probably drop out of the World Championship." I let out another involuntary sigh.
"Why not?" Seyoon asks me.
"Well I don't have a coach anymore because I don't think I can keep working with Dongho after what happened." The championship was only a couple weeks away and I wasn't going to be able to train like I needed to without a coach to help me. I had been really looking forward to compete this year and hopefully win.
"If all you need is a coach then I can be your coach."
"You? How are you going to coach me?"
"You know with only a couple more weeks what you really need is someone to practice with and to beat up right?"
"Yeah but you are not fighting any time soon."
"Okay then I'll be there for moral support or something. But you shouldn't not try to win the tournament because you don't have a coach. No excuses! I know you could win! Fighting!" he gives me two thumbs up.
At this point I had nothing to lose so why not. I nod my head at him.
He gives me a hug. "I'll be the best coach ever. Don't worry!"
I can't help but grin at his excitement. We had finally arrived at the gym. And Seyoon opens the door for me. "Are you leaving?"
"Hold on I want to go in and talk to the owner." He pushes me into the gym softly. "Go and practice, I will see you later when I get done with practice."
"Alright but I have one request." I hold up one finger and grin at Seyoon.
"What is it?" he smiles down at me.
"Please go easy on your ribs. They are really badly injured and I can't believe we haven't taken you to the hospital yet. If they start to get to painful sit down, and maybe have one of your members wrap them again. To help with the pain. They just need to make sure it's tight and they wrap-"
Seyoon stops me talking by placing his finger on my lips. "Don't worry, I'll be fine."
"I was rambling on wasn't I?" He nods back at me. "Okay I'm going to go change now. Do you know when you will be done?"
"It's going to be 3 or 4 hours so get a good training session in while I'm gone okay?"
"Alright." I can't help but return his contagious grin. And with that I turn around and head to the changing rooms.
While I am at the gym I gruel myself into a punching bag. I didn't let myself feel anything other than my fists on the bag. I don't stop until I feel a tap on my shoulder. In my focused state I thought it was Dongho and whipped around swinging my arm for a right hook. I recognize who it is right before my fist connects and stop my punch mid swing.
"Whoah there, I come in peace," It's Hyemi. She holds up both hands in a mock sign of surrender.
I pull out my headphones. "Sorry I guess I was just really into what I was doing." I let out a short laugh. "What's up?"
"I just came over to ask you what happened at the fight. Who won?"
Great, the one subject I wanted to avoid. "Dongho won but it was a dirty fight." I leave my headphone out but I turn back around to the punching bag and start my onslaught again.
"Wow, you seem so worked up. Did you and Dongho break up?" she stands next to the punching bag.
"Yes, I broke up with him." I don't stop hitting the punching bag as I speak.
"Oh, so he's free game?" She grins widely.
I had always know that every girl in the gym had their eyes on Dongho. Once I had caught one of them slipping love notes into his gym bag. "Yeah, he's free game." I give the bag one final punch as hard as I can muster. I have to head over to my gym bag for some water.
I look over at the entrance just as Seyoon walks through the door. I have to glance up at the clock, it's only been 2 hours. How is he done already? I walk over to him.
"Heyy, you don't look happy to see me," He gives me a half smile.
"I'm not unhappy to see you, I just am curious. You said it would be longer. Why are you here so early?"
"I'll tell you what happened on the way back to your apartment. Are you ready to go?"
"Yeah let me just get my stuff." I head over to my gym bag and quickly gather all of my stuff and throw it into the bag. I look at my wrapped hands and quickly undo the wrappings and throw them into the bag. I am not sure why I am in such a rush.
We are both on our way back to my apartment when Seyoon finally speaks up. "Apparently my team went early and told my manager what happened. So when I arrived at the company she immediately had me go to the hospital and rest when I was done."
"What did the doctors say?" I chirp in. I am to happy that he was seen by someone for his ribs.
"They said that while I have some major buising, I luckily don't have any broken ribs. They were actually shocked after they saw the bruising that I didn't have any broken bones. Oh! They complimented your wrapping skills. And I was prescribed some pain meds so I can't drive any heavy machinery and that's a bummer because I was really looking forward to backhoeing in the countryside but now my plans are ruined!" I can almost feel his sarcasm.
But I let out a giggle at his silly joke. "Well I am just glad that you are doing better," we both grin at each other as we continue on our way to my apartment.
