Chapter 10: Lets get to work

POV Lucy-

*BEEP BEEP BEEP*

"Ugh five more minutes." I mumble and put a pillow over my face. "Sorry no can do lazy pants." says an angry voice. Is that.. Erza? I slowly move the pillow from my face and look at my surroundings. First thing that I notice is .. NATSU? I mean I don't mind that he's sleeping in the bed ,it is his bed. It's just that, he's almost clinging to me. I sit up and he tightens his grip. I smile at him and can feel my face blush.

"Ahem, I don't have all day. Perhaps he," says Mistress Erza gesturing to Natsu. "didn't explain. Today's your first day working as a slave. As you were meant to do." She throws a bag of clothes that were in her hand on the floor. "You have 10 minutes to report to the kitchen." Then she walks out.

Crap.

Without even thinking I just jump off the bed over Natsu and land on my stomach on the floor. "Ouch!" I yelp. No time to stop. I quickly glance at Natsu. He's still asleep so I just start to change right there. In the middle of changing I hear "Luce where'd you g-GO?!" Obviously he had seen what I was doing. "Don't look!" I yell while continuing. I finish and run to the bathroom. I freshen up and look in the mirror.

A maid's outfit. How degrading.
I look at the clock. I have 5 more minutes. I storm out. "Natsu I don't mind working I understand that that's why I'm here. But you couldn't warn me the night before so that Mistress Erza wasn't so pissed at me?!" He turns around trying to finish tying his tie. "L-look I'm sorry. I came in last night I was gonna tell you but you were asleep so-UGH." He yells in frustration. I sigh and help him finish. I only have 3 more minutes. "Gotta go." I mumble and rush down.

POV Natsu-

While Lucy was in the bathroom I decide to get dressed. I had to go pick up a friend later today so I decided to wear a tie. Urgh I hate those they're so difficult to put on. I stand there struggling when Lucy bursts through the door and yells about how I didn't tell her she started work. I explain until I grunt in frustration. She just sighs and helps me out. I can hear her as she says gotta go in an annoyed tone under her breath. I watch as she runs away.

"What a girl." I say to myself and smile. I think I'll take her out this weekend as an apology dinner.

POV Lucy-

I rushed down to the Kitchen and saw a row of maids lined up side by side. I go to far right and glance at the girl next to me name tag. Cana.

"Listen up we have a new person joining us today." Says Erza sternly as she appears around the corner. "Someone partner up with her and tell her how things go. Goodebye and your shift ends at 6:00 pm." "Yes Mistress Erza." Everyone says in usion. Then she walks away.

"Ugh I hate these uniforms." says Cana next to me. She moves her arms behind her and the first few buttons on her shirt pop off. "Erm, y-your shirt." I say with a sweat drop. "Aw who cares." she responds whilst looking around. "Guess I'm going to be the one to show you around." She says. She looks at my name tag. "Well Lucy, first we do our designated chores over there at the board," she points to the board. "and after that we go to whoever our Master is and do whatever they tell us. Ask around if you need to know where supplies are." Then she walks away..
