Astrid P.O.V
I woke up to the sound of birds chirping and with the sun shining its light on my face. Weird, I don't really get to wake up to such a peaceful enviroment, I thought. That's when I realised something wasn't right. I opened my eyes to see that I was lying on the ground, on my side, facing a stone wall. Slowly tilting my head towards the sunlight, I found that it was shining through a window with bars. A jail cell. I was lying on the ground in a jail cell. My body tensed up once I heard a door swinging open and footsteps. The sound of the footsteps grew closer to the cell I was placed in and I quickly used my powers to blend in with the shadows of the jail cell. I stood up silently while still using my shadows and observed the owners of the footsteps. I wasn't surprised to see the same group of people who lead me to the village. I mean, I did fight a bunch of Shadow Knights and used shadows to defeat them. Now, I noticed that the group had someone new with them, an elf.
So she must be the one who put this magickal barrier around the cell. They really must think I'm a threat if there is a barrier and a magicks user with them.
"Did she escape?" a man with blonde hair and blue eyes asked the elf. I recognised his voice to be the man who had spoken to me while we were running towards their village.
"No, she's still in the cell. The real question is, how is she still able to use her powers within the barrier?" the elf asked.
"Well whatever it is she is doing, at least the barrier prevents her from escaping. However, what will we do with her in the meantime Lady Aphmau?" another man said, staring right at me. He must be a Shadow Knight to be able to see me while I hide from the others in my shadows.
I narrowed my eyes at the woman with the raven hair. So she is the Lady of this village, I guess I should reveal myself now.
