Your smile leaves your face and you start to back up. "What?" you say so quietly you didn't know if you actually said it out loud. You look down and feel the tears coming. Great. Was it worth it? I mean you've never had a boyfriend before. No guy was ever interested. Or at least no guy ever asked you out, which meant they weren't interested. Right? But every relationship you've ever seen or heard of, they would do anything for one another. Even end a friendship... Well you've never heard of anyone having to do that, but surely it's happened. But then again, Louis was the only one that was there for you. When Zayn left because of Perrie, who stuck by your side? Louis. Who made sure you were never alone? Louis. Who made sure that no matter what you had a smile on your face and happy thoughts in your head? Louis. You couldn't do that to him. You couldn't leave him. You couldn't just end your friendship with the one person that was there for you through thick and thin. You just couldn't do that. Right? You would never forgive yourself. A tear falls from your cheek and hits the ground. "You want me to end my friendship with Louis so-" "Rae?" You whip around and see Louis standing behind you holding your birthday present. But his facial expression doesn't match the pretty, happy wrapping paper on the present. "You don't want to be friends anymore?" "No Lou-" "Here" he shoves the present into your arms. "I got this for you, and even though we aren't friends I think you should have it. I hope he's worth it Rae. I really hope he's worth it." He spun around and just took off. "Louis!" you yell through your tears. Louis was gone. The one person who loved you most. Abandoned you. You didn't need him anyways. He didn't even allow you to explain. He just ran off. You look to Zayn who opens his arms to you. You drop the present then go into Zayn's warm embrace and allow yourself to cry. On your birthday.
