Not only is the author showcasing her incredibly talent and imagination within this story. But with her book she's talking about a common but not enough communicated maltreat in our society and communities all around the world. In some countries forced marriage and domestic violence is swept under the rug. I applaud the author for talking about such a sensitive topic without shying away from the critics that she could face. Not only is she talking about the maltreat but she's showing within her story that it's okay to fight for your rights and to encourage others to do so as well. And although the story is surrounded by a heavy topic, the author shows us, that even Mia finds love and finds someone that cares for her.
