Mates

Just a heads up of ya'll will go bright red or go 'EWWWWW' in a small part of this.  You'll see why when you get to it. You may not but there's still a chance of doing it so heads up.

Mates

Normally when a werewolf turns 18  they are now able to find their mate.

A mate is, a soul mate. The one person made for you. They can be of the same or opposite gender. It's not uncommon to have a a gay pair in stories, but they won't be able to have children.

When mates find each its like their heart is complete. A lot of people say in the stories that werewolves that mates are the other half of a werewolves soul or heart.  When they met their world freezes and all they can see is their mate its so unreal and almost romantic (minus the part where their mate can be their worst enemy) 

They'll find any physical features of their mate more attractive on them and less attractive on others. For example green eyes, they could compare them and then say 'it doesn't look the same on her/him then it does on my mate'.  

Any feature they found attractive before will now be  'How did I ever find that attractive?'. They will also start to notice other peoples flaws more. 

Males are known to be over protective and possessive when it comes to their mate. If a man even looks at their girl (or guy if your gay) for too long or in the wrong way they'll growl at the person. If its a female then he won't care but if the girl tries to drag their mate off somewhere they'll tail them.

Over-protective I know but it what they do.

Marking & Mating

Males will be more protective if they haven't marked their mates. Marking their mate is something males and females do to show everyone who their mate is. 

Keep note that again some authors will do things differently here.

One of the mates will bite their mate in the crock of the neck. Werewolves are able to extend their teeth which they call canines (I think its called that).  After biting their mate the mate will experience some pain for a few seconds before it starts to turn into pleasure. The pleasure will soon die out. While the mate who has been bitten takes all the pleasure and pain the other mate will lick the bite cover it with their silva closing the bite and sealing it, marking them theirs.

 A little while after the bite a tattoo (which is actually the mark) will appear where the bite was or if the author wishes it it will stay as 2 puncher marks. After the process is complete the marked mate will now smell of the other pair. The mated pair can now also hear each others thoughts and feel what the other mate is feeling. Emotions and Pain. In some stories they won't feel the pain or they won't feel it unless it's really intense. 

They will also feel if their mate has cheated on them with another wolf. 

Once they've marked each other and one of the mated pair dies the other will either die with them or go slowly go insane. After going they will either be put down by their pack or run from their pack and go Rogue. 

After they have marked each other they will be compelled to finish the mating process. The final part of the process is sex.

They can only do the sex claimed thing after they have marked each other. If they haven't then it's just normal sex.

I don't know how male gay sex works so your gonna have figure that out on your own. I don't know how female gay works either so have fun figuring that out too.

For a female and male pair, the male must first mark the female, only then will they complete the mating process through sexual intercourse. 

Rejection

Now comes the sad part, in some stories there is something called rejection. It's exactly what it sounds like, they reject their mate. They could reject them for many reasons. To lessen one of those reasons they are mated to people who are similar in power/ rank. 

Some stories may have something called a second chance mate but I don't believe cause I always thought that the soul should only fit another soul, which also leads me to also not believe in rejection. But author's choice. 

Some stories have it where the female is ranks below the male and that can be one of the reasons why they can get rejected by their dick of a mate.

Heat

Because werewolves are part wolf they go through Heat. Heat is a period of time determined by the author (usually between a week to a few days) where the female will crave the touch of their mate or any male/female touch (female if the girls is gay. If the couple is a gay male pair they won't go through Heat) . The female will go through intense pains if they are far away from their far away from their mate. It will hurt more the longer distance between the two.

In some stories the female will only crave their mate and if another male was to touch her she may experience some extreme pain and she may feel like she's burning.

Heat only happens to the female after the meet their mate. Heat is natures trying to speed up the birthing process so the pains will only stop after she and her mate have sex or a certain period of time. 

Some stories will have it so the female will only go through heat after she gets marked while others will have it so like I said earlier she'll go through it after she meets her mate.

Heat will intense the female's smell and attract her mate and nearby unmated males. Her intense smell will compel her mate to have sex with her and get her pregnant.

Her heat will continue till she's older. About the same time when human females lose their period.
