I arrived at the small but cute burger place and joined my friend to order our food. We sat talking about anything and everything gossiping about other girls and laughing about stupid things. That was until she sked me about my new job
''Theres something I need to tell you'' I said
''okay...'' she replied giving me a weird look
''I'm working for my ex husband Jamie he's my boss'' I replied sighing deeply
''WAIT WHAT?!'' Brittany exclaimed
Ughh sometimes she can be so annoying - what is the need to scream?
''Look I'm desperate to make money and do you know who he is? He's a billionaire with a lot of companies. I need this money so bad''
''Yes so your deliberately working through him for money. Aren't you over him?''
'' What exactly are you trying to imply?! I didn't get the job for his personal money or to try and win him back I make my own money just through his business. I was with him when he had more money than he needed and I'm with him now and he has even more money than he needs. Anyway, he's getting married and I dont care!'' Now I was the one attracting attention to our table.
''Woah I was just asking. Wasn't trying to imply anything''
''I know I'm sorry its just its a lot to take in. Anyway I need to go I'm going to be late my lunch break is almost over I'm sorry for what I said '' I said sighing with regret
She gave me a sympathetic smile and we gathered his things to leave. When we were outside she turned to me and said: ''move on, it about time you did and you deserve someone who will make you happy''
She was telling the truth I guess its about time I found my true love. I deserve happiness.
