Niqabi Struggles

Family Gatherings ( yep im doing it)

Now generally these occasions are happy and we love them and we get to meet everyone but unfortunately there are a few down sides and I've broken them down with an explanation so without further ado let's begin

* COUSINS

I love my cousins (most of them) they all cool and generally we get along,me personally I show my face to some of the (male) cousins I'm close to but others not so much and this can be a problem to some people because "we've known you since we were kids" ,"you know I'll never marry you right","but why" & many more like this but you know what I DON'T CARE because no is no

* "Those"Aunties

Every family has them,the ones who go on about how their children are so good and try to dictate everyones lives,like really aunty I'm not saying anything when your daughter is secretly meeting her boyfriend when she told you that she's going to the library so why is it your concern about how I'm going to get married when no boys can see me with that "thing" on my face, honestly I love my family but some of them drive me insane

*Old Uncles

Ok I know we generally have to show respect and stuff but one of my pet peeves are those old uncle's who go around hugging and kissing everyones because they're old and you're like their daughter
Like no dude I don't care how old you are it does not give you the right to hug me,kiss me or anything me and some of them actually have the audacity to get offended if you say this which makes no sense because they are Namahram so they shouldn't even be doing this
(Sorry guys, I just really don't like this)

*Family Friends

If you're brown or even if you're not you'd know those family friends that your family has known for so long that they're actually family but not?
I don't even know if that makes sense but anyways even though we consider them as family they aren't actually and you wear niqab in front of them but then comes the "we family","how can you do this","he's like your brother",that like word can be very misused sometimes and people don't seem to get that
