New beginnings. A new chapter. New faces.
One would expect something like this to be a milestone, to be something filled with joy and anxiousness, but...
One would never expect it to be filled with grief and fear of starting that new chapter, especially when it's already begun."Micheal? Micheal, are you okay?"
A cold hand placed against his shoulder cautiously made him jump and nearly fall out of his chair.
"Jesus! Don't do that!", he yelped before looking at the woman standing in front of him. A look of worry is on her face. "Wait..", he paused, his brows knit together in confusion and curiosity.
"How do you know my name?"She bit down on her bottom lip, unsure of how he will react to what she is about to say.
"Well.. I had went to go and get my med-kit and when I came back, you were dazed and.. talking to yourself."
"Wait, what?", he stood up and took a few steps closer to her, golden hues now locked onto brown ones.
"What did I say?"She shrugged a bit and put the med kit down on a chest.
" 'You can't trust her, Micheal. Remember who's been keeping you alive all these years. It's me.' "His alerted stance dissapeared and his jaw clenched before he looked away. He could've sworn that was all only in his head.. "Yeah. I guess I did say it."
"Did.. did you mean it? Do you really not trust me?"
"No, no! I do. I trust you."That made her smile all big and wide and she gave him a nod. "Good! Now, let's get those wounds patched up."
"Right..", he watched her grab another chair and move behind him to his back where she started cleaning the scratches on his wings, except.."Ow! HEY!", he hissed and squirmed like some kind of Jörmungandr. She stopped and held the liquid soaked cotton ball and bottle up. "What the hell are you using?"
"Alcohol." "Yes, but what kind?" "Uh.. the drinkable kind."
"WHAT?!"He twisted and took the bottle before reading it, "Red Starlight..?"
Micheal turned the bottle a bit to continue reading the lable.
"Tequila. 68 percent?!"The woman chuckled awkwardly, "Yeah, uh.. I couldn't find anything else."
He sighed and rubbed the side of his face. "Okay, fine. I suppose this'll have to do."
She nodded and continued cleaning his still open wounds, making him hiss and whine in the process. By the end of it all, he was covered in many bandages."Are you sure I need this many—"
"—Yes."
"Hmph. Well, fine." He got up and went to grab his shirt before realizing... there's no point, so he just looked around. She watched him."You know..", he started. "You never told me your name."
" My name is Vita Zariņa."
"Vita.."
She nodded."So, is there anything you want to do? You are now a part of a wonderful world!"
"Well.. what exactly is there to do around here, anyways?"
"Here, let me show you."Vita grabbed his hand and pulled him out of her home and off to embark on new and exciting things.
