I have only been a part of this association for a year or two. We don't have a real name since it's super top secret or something.

Tonight is my turn to patrol the city of Manchester. I reach my hand back to my neck. I slightly apply pressure to the chip that's placed there.

It's always a rush for me to change outfits. It is sooooo much more fun than usual clothes.

The creator of these suits must have been anime lovers. It is a whole shenanigan with the transformation.

My normal flannel and jeans turn to a tight bodysuit. Black army boots replace my usual tennis shoes. A cape forms on my back and a mask begins to cross my face. I finish with an exaggerated pose because I feel it is needed.

"Again with the nerdy transition? You look utterly stupid in my opinion." I turn to see my best, and only friend, Cara.

I look down to her, "Of course. It's only necessary for every super being to have a transformation."

"Guess what? I don't have one and I still look cool as h*ll." She leaves her post in the door way and walks over to me.

Her dark blue curls bounce like springs. She has always been a figure with her dark chocolate skin and long navy blue hair.

She hands me a small shard of glass. After the weeks of training I know immediately how to use the miniature tablet.

I powered it on and watch as a hologram hovers above it. Words and pictures scroll across the screen. It was all the villains I have to look out for.

"You nervous?" Cara asks. I glance slightly towards her slim figure. "Absolutely terrified."

She was referring to tonight being my first night outside of headquarters training center. My first night as a superhero on the streets.

I may have fibbed a little when I say I'm an official superhero. Technically, to become official you must capture a villain or save billions of citizens.

Although I have great mind powers and I am the youngest person ever to be trained by supers, I have yet to actually do much.

Cara chuckled. "Don't worry. You'll be fine." I smile in her direction. "Thanks."

A crash startles both of us. An assistant has appeared in the door that was just recently occupied by my friend.

"Cara...Come quick...a...." She gasps. Her finger goes up showing that she needs a minute. Cara looks mildly confused. "I'm sorry but you must come quick. It's a fight."
