Kratos, the Ghost of Sparta, The God Of War.
His name was both respected and feared throughout all of Greece.
Before becoming the Ghost of Sparta, he was a General of Sparta. But after making a deal with Ares, the God of War, he soon became something else.
A monster.
His rampage took the 2 most important people in his life.
His wife and daughter.
After that, there ashes and all the dead from the village was embedded into Kratos, thus gave birth to the Ghost of Sparta.
Kratos swore vengeance on Ares, thus breaking the pact between the two. The furies sent to collect him and after some time of torture, Kratos broke free from his imprisonment and killed the 3 Furies, along with there son. With the sons sacrifice, Kratos regained his lost memories along with his hatred for Ares.
When Kratos returned to the world, the Olympians charged him with multiple tasks. One such task was saving Helios from Atlas and killing Persephone.
When the Olympians decided that Ares had cross the line, they charged Kratos to slay the War God. After many battles and a long journey, Kratos had retrieved Pandora's box, only to be killed just before leaving the temple. He escaped death though and reclaim the box, unleashing the power inside. With his new found power, he slayed the War God.
Only to learn that the Gods wouldn't take away his sins and memories of his crime. When the Gods of Olympus abandoned Kratos, he committed suicide.
But the Gods didn't allow that. They had decided on who would take the empty throne on Olympus. But before he became a God, he wanted to find someone.
His brother, Deimos.
His quest to find his brother eventually leads him to Death himself, Thanatos. Eventually he found his brother, but Deimos attacked Kratos. In the end, Kratos and Deimos fought Thanatos, eventually killing the death God. But it wasn't with sacrifice as Deimos died in battle. When Kratos returned to the world, Athena was waiting for him and began to make him a God. Only for Kratos to brush her aside.
Thus, Kratos became the new God of war. But his hunger for battle and power was greater than Ares ever was.
Aphrodite, the Goddess of Love, Lust, and Beauty was smitten with Kratos even before he became the God of War. So when he took the throne, she was the first of his lovers, eventually leading up to something Kratos wasn't sure if he was ready for.
Aphrodite became the mother of his child.
Kratos wasn't ready to be a Father, not after what happened to his own daughter. So he left his son to Aphrodite, who for some reason took on the role of motherhood seriously.
The other Olympians were curious about the child of War and love. Often making side bets on who he would take after, Love or Hate.
After 10 years, Kratos had begun to get out of control. He trained his son harsh, to the point of unconsciousness in most cases. It was quickly found out that the young God wasn't exactly like either of his parents.
He enjoys a good fight and isn't adverse to death. He doesn't actively seek out conflict, but he wouldn't back down from a fight he knows he can win. Being born a God made it so that his growth was fast and being the son of the Goddess of Love made him quite handsome. Despite his age, he was already a young adult.
Then the betrayal happened.
When Zeus returned from killing Kratos, he had the young God imprisoned. Aphrodite didn't fight the order, in fact, she was the one who was in charge of his imprisonment.
Aphrodite had allowed her Handmaiden's and other subjects have fun with her son. She wanted her child to experience the thrill of love and lust.
When Kratos came back to Olympus with the Titans, he when on a rampage and killed many Gods. He learned that his son was imprisoned and when he found Aphrodite, he demanded his sons release. Despite what she wanted, she indeed released her child. But Kratos knew he couldn't allow hid child to follow him as he fought the Olympians, so he left a weapon of his and left him with Aphrodite.
What Kratos didn't know was that the evils within Pandora's box had slightly effected Aphrodite. Aphrodite use her full power on her son and with her 2 faithful Handmaiden's, had a wonderful time with her son.
It was quickly discovered that despite being a young God, her son had enough stamina to keep up with 3 experienced women.
When Athena confronted Kratos about the power he found, Kratos denied her and sacrifice himself, releasing hope. After Athena left, Kratos's son found him and he took him away from Olympus.
Away from Greece.
Years had pass since the destruction of Greece. Kratos had fully trained his son and had embraced fatherhood once more. He eventually found a woman who eventually became his wife. She bore him a son who he named Atreus. His eldest son took it upon himself to be the best brother he could without coddling his new sibling.
As more years passed, the son of Kratos found a woman who was able to actually match him in battle. They had a bit of a rivalry until it completely changed from competition to affection. Eventually there affection turn to love and the 2 had been together ever since. They made there own home not far from Kratos's home.
Then the day came when it all changed.
The day that Kratos lost his wife and Atreus lost his mother.
