For those of you that read my message....no; I'm not back from Virginia. But I (finally!) got some alone time with the (one) laptop in this cramped up hotel room. So, without further ado...here's Chapter 6.
Oh! and please comment if you want me to post a picture and cast of the characters. This is very important to me!
Ok, now here's chapter 6.
Chapter 6
Trey’s POV
11th grade Day 30
Chapter 6 (Past)
“You’re kidding me!” I beat the lunch table with the palm of my hand as I restrained from spitting chocolate milk out of my nose.
“Nope. True story, bro.” Jared’s eyes gleamed with pride; the accomplishment of making me laugh seemed to overwhelm him. But the moment was short lived as soon as I caught sight of the person that walked up behind him. Jared saw me visibly stiffen and his eyebrows furrowed.
“What’s up?” He questioned. I nodded my head toward a silent, and glaring, Rikky. Despite my anger towards her for making a fool out of me that day after school, she still evoked the same feelings with just her presence. My heart raced, my hands became sweaty, and my lower area began to ache. Badly.
Jared turned his head to glance behind him. “Rikky, hey. Pop a squat, I was just telling Trey over here about the family Christmas fiasco. He thought it was hilarious!” Jared seemed painstakingly oblivious to the tension in the air between Rikky and I. Poor guy.
Rikky moved her weight on her other foot. “Actually, could I talk to you in private for a moment?” Rikky’s voice almost made me groan. Almost. Her voice was so…seductive, and she didn’t even try.
Jared looked confused. “Sure sis.” As he got up, he looked back at me suspiciously.
Sis? Jared was Rikky’s brother? Rikky was Jared’s sister? The thought made me angry. I just had to befriend the brother of only person in this entire school, this entire world, that hated me.
I looked over at Jared and Rikky. They were arguing, well at least Jared was. Rikky kept a calm, emotionless attitude. Her arms were crossed and she was looking up at her brother. Jared was short but Rikky was shorter.
They both looked back at me at the same time and caught me staring. Rikky’s eyes narrowed while Jared blushed and waved at me shyly. Now they were walking back to the table. Rikky’s arms were still crossed and she seemed to be glaring daggers at her brother for a change.
“So,” Jared started as he plopped down on his seat and looked at me. “Rikky’s gonna be eating lunch with us today.”
I froze; my heart stopped and I felt like I was sweating buckets. I looked up at Rikky, who was still standing, and assessed her angry expression. Then I looked back over Jared. “Are you sure she’s okay with that?” I asked him as if she wasn’t there, the action made me smirk.
Jared reached up and without even looking at her; he grabbed Rikky’s silky smooth arm and pulled her down onto the seat next to him, diagonal from me. “Positive,” he said. Rikky huffed. But after that, she was silent the entire time; being content with eating food off of Jared’s plate. I wasn’t sure if Jared noticed, but while he was animatedly talking to me for the duration of lunch; I was staring at Rikky. And as much as she would like to dispute it; Rikky was staring at me too. We were staring at each other. The air was thick around us but for a different reason this time. There was sexual tension. And my crotch was throbbing.
