Chapter II - The Icerians

Jade opened her eyes, too see Natalie cooking some soup above a fire nearby.

"That smells.. nice." Jade yawned.

"It's pumpkin soup. You need it, we all need to keep warm until the storm is over." Natalie replied, pouring soup into a bowl.

"I thought that George guy took all of our supplies? Where did you get a bowl?" Jade asked.

"The Icerians only had bowls made of tough ice but that still wouldn't be able to handle hot soup. I carved one out from wood using an ice knife. I ended up breaking it but I managed to make four bowls." Natalie replied, looking proud.

"I see.. Where did Emilly and Poppy go? What happened to the ice looking kid?"

"Poppy and Emilly went to find some food in the forest. I don't really think there's much to find besides weird fruits and vegies."

Jade sighed. "Isn't this house made of ice? Won't the fire melt it down?"

"It won't. Eiciel casted a spell so the house doesn't melt. It only lasts a couple of hours though." Natalie replied, pouring some soup into a bowl for herself too.

"Where the flip did you even get these pumpkins from?" Jade asked, absolutely confused.

"George didn't take everything from us." Natalie giggled.

The girls burst through the door.

"We're back!" Emilly shouted.

"The door is made of ice! Your gonna break it!" Natalie shouted in anger.

"Actually it's made of iron. The villagers made it look like ice to fuck with people. So if anyone tries to knock down the door the banging sound will alert them." Poppy said.

"Smart. Real smart." Jade said.

"Jade! You're awake!" Emilly said, happily. "Pumpkin soup?!". Emilly grabbed a wooden bowl and immediately poured herself some soup. "This is just what I needed!".

"Ew. Natalie you could have cooked something more better." Poppy said, disgusted.

"Poppy, you dumbass. There's no animals on these mountains so theres no meat. The Icerians diet consists of fruits and vegetables only. Deal with it." Natalie said, pissed.

Poppy sat down with the girls and grabbed herself a bowl. "Just give me some of that stupid soup. I'm not gonna starve in these mountains and its cold so I'm gonna need something hot to drink.".

Natalie smiled whilst Emilly and Jade laughed.

"Guys! Are you okay?" Eiciel said.

"Oh you must be Eiciel! Sorry for fainting earlier. I must have offended you." Jade said, embarrassed.

"None taken! That smells delicious, what is it?" Eiciel asked.

"Pumpkin soup! Wanna try some?" Natalie said.

"Um.. What's a pumpkin?" Eiciel asked. The girls jaws dropped. Except for Poppy's because she absolutely hates fruits and vegies.

"I can't believe you've never tried pumpkin! Don't you guys have it here?!" Emilly asked, shockingly.

"Like I said before, the Snow Cone Mountains has it's own resources. It's nothing like the ones elsewhere. We have something like a pumpkin and that's snowkin." Eiciel said.

"Everythin' has gotta be named after snow.." Jade mumbled.

"Allow me to introduce you to my grandmother." Eiciel smuled.
