Chapter 2

The light draws near.

“This can’t be good.” I said looking at the growing light. Amina’s eyes were wide with shock. I thought I heard her whisper something that sounded a lot like“They’re here”, but I wasn’t sure so I didn’t say anything. “We should get back to the others.” I said grabbing her arm gently. Just a few minuets ago we had kissed and opened our eyes to color. The Shadow world was infamous for being a normal shade of dull gray. But now it was like a rainbow had been shot with a rocket launcher and had splattered it’s colors that now cloaked the land. I led her quickly back to the camp, which looked a lot more like a castle. Raven was waiting with the others outside staring in awe at the changed land.

“How is this even possible.” She exclaimed under her breath. She looked up and saw us racing towards her. Just as we met up with Raven two figures appeared on the hill, the light shrouding their faces from sight. They reared their horses and charged towards us.

I took the knife from my belt just as everyone else drew their own weapons. Crimson with his sickle and chain, Chris with his sword, Raven with her whip and Ember with throwing daggers. I reached my arm out to pull Amina behind me but she was already racing towards the figures. “Amina stop.” I yelled but it was useless they were already to close to her.

I watched everyone draw their weapons when the two figures charged towards us. As they got closer I saw a flash of unmistakably blue hair and a smile broke out on my face and before I knew it I was racing towards the figures. I heard Adrian shouting my name, well of course he wouldn’t know who they were. My sisters slowed as they neared me, Angel jumping off her horse and racing towards me and embracing me in a giant hug the billowy sleeves of her brown dress waving around us. Lex just gave me a nod but a knowing glint in her eyes told me she was just as happy to see me as Angel was.

I heard foot steps behind me and Angel pulled away from me sending a cautious glance over my shoulder and then back to me. I shook my head and she seemed to know that they weren’t a threat.“Does anyone else see a blue haired psycho - freak or is it just me?” I heard Crimson mutter to Raven.

I knew Lex had heard it because she jumped off her horse and swung her arm around my shoulder glaring at him. She gave a sarcastic smile and said “Maybe you wanna go slip into something more comfortable, like a coma.” Crimson glared speechless mouth hanging open, and I have to admit it was pretty funny. I introduced my sisters to the others but though they relaxed a bit they were still wary and uncomfortable. I knew something big was about to go down, I had a feeling of dread in my stomach, that my mother had something to do with this which meant whatever she had planned it was big and it was bad. And even though I was happy to see my sisters again I knew in my heart someone I loved was going to die and there was absolutely nothing I could do about it.

It was weird to think that these girls were Amina’s sisters, they looked so different. Angel was pretty enough with her light blonde hair and big golden eyes, but Alexa or Lex was the complete opposite of Angel with her midnight blue hair and obscurely white eyes that had a circle of black rimming them. And then there was Amina, the oldest of the three. Her super long black hair was almost always in a braid contrasting against her bright green eyes. They were all around the same height except Angel who was exceptionally smaller. I guess their skin tone was close enough Angel’s being a bit darker, Lex with a white like-silverish tint, and Amina’s the lightest. And they acted so different Angel with her bubbly optimism, Lex with her leery sarcasm (by the way I love how she put Crimson in his place), and then there was Amina with her always spacing off and her fighting strength. No doubt what so ever that they all could fight but I knew Amina had a unique ability about her that no one could see yet a power we’ve never seen, but it’s there, I know it. I shook myself off the eternal train of thought, the fact hat her sisters were here meant something was going to go down, something big. What ever it was Amina was thinking the same thing I was because she was spacing out off and on smiling and saying she was fine when anyone asked. But I had grown to know her well enough over the last month to know her mind was racing thinking, planning, preparing herself for whatever was to come. Alexa and Crimson were sitting unusually close and they were both using their immense sarcasm against each other and seemed Alexa was winning. Angel was talking to Raven enthusiastically and Ember and Chris were cuddling. I could be wrong but I’m starting to think Cupid got loose a few of his arrows. I busied myself by going out to hunt, Amina saw me leave, smiling she followed me. When we got far enough into the woods I turned and kissed her. Electricity raced through me as she returned the kiss wrapping her arms around my neck, lacing her fingers through my hair. I know it wasn’t long but to me it felt like eternity, like time had disappeared and it was just me and her.

*****that's it for now more soon :p I promise*******
