Nashio Masahiro's POV
"Ryo-kun! Come on, please don't do this." I shouted with everything that I've got in this very dense forest. "Ryosei-kun!" I'm having enough problems for one day, it's just becoming unbearable. I don't know how I'll break these to my family... to Ryosei... and most especially, Yuka. It's official, this is a terrible day.

It all started when it's first thing in the morning that I had to go through the Dean's Office. I really expected something good out of it especially that I have come to known that I can finally serve the Capital, the Utopia and the Founders, themselves. Those thoughts just rushed right through me as well as the adrenaline of awaiting for the Dean to let me in the office. Five minutes later, he finally lets me in with a huge smile plastered on his face.
"Fujima-san... I mean... sensei? Are the results here?" I asked as I showed a hopeful smile on my face.
"Nashio-kun? Am I correct?"
"Yes, sir."
"Well, as the only student who have initiated themselves into the entrance exams for the Utopian Military Force. It is my great honor to tell you that you have passed the physical and intellectual examinations as the number one applicant."
"I can't believe it. Is this truly happening?" I was practically hopping around the Dean's office with the shear happiness that I was receiving even the Dean can't hold himself from getting infected from my radiating happiness.
"And..."
"And, there's more." I got back to my seat and took it upon myself to behave.
"Well, this coming weekend, you are invited to the Capital Tower alongside the other Top 5 applicants wherein you'll be staying with the Founders for the night, also, you can bring one acquaintance to the place."
"Founders? THE Founders? They're my heroes, I can't wait to meet them in person." I told the Dean as I was basically laying my chest on his table.
"Yes and according here since you are already part of the Top 5, you will be directly sent to the World Resource Center after the Founders have proven themselves that you're a trustworthy soldier. After that, you'll be staying there for a probationary year and have your salary immediately delivered to your family."
"What now? A year? Can I... I bring my family?"
"Yes. A year... maybe more with your potential and abilities and no, you are not able to bring your family."
"More than a year? But my sister, Yuka? And my brother, Ryosei?"
"No. You can't bring them to the World Resource Center especially that it is currently under siege for the terror attacks from the Islas de los Muerto."
"But, sir? Is there nothing else that I can do?"
"I commend that you highly regard the Founders and for that, you must know that their decision have always been final."
"I know."
"If I were you, break it to them as immediate as possible so they can adjust as soon as possible."
"Yes, sir."
"Well, that will be all. I congratulate you, Nashio-kun." The Dean puts up his hand toward me as I went down the table.
"Thank you, sir." I said as I shook his hand.
"Okay, you may leave my office."

I really can't believe this day, I don't know what to do anymore. I'm sure my parents will not easily release me but I'm sure the Founders will get their way. My sister won't even have a chance to have a say in this, it will just make her lonely in the process especially with her bullies around. And now this, I can't believe I had just became one of his reasons for his suicide attempts. Well, if I'm going to ruin all of my loved ones' lives, I better kill myself at this point as early as possible, there is a trapped hole right under me, full of vertical wooden stakes. Then, just before, I made the biggest mistake of my life, I hear the impossibility of a lifetime, a weak groan echoing through this dense forest. I don't know how that echoed but somehow, I ran to the source of the noise and when I had arrived, I see Ryosei having a seizure considering that he was shaking tremendously, incoherent speech and even, his head was visibly throbbing but his eyes were not really right at any possible consideration, his pupils were moving like mad and its colors shifted at differing instances from its original golden yellow to greyish blue, dark brown, radiant red, an absolute black and dark orange. It was even beyond comprehension that his body was seemingly trying to put itself apart but his hands remained intact with the box labelled "Pandora's Box". Even though, I didn't grasp the full situation, I decided to take the box with me and take Ryosei on my back, hoping that I can solve this especially that I'm not certain that modern medicine can even solve this situation.
Not long later, I arrived at our house and I was ecstatic that no one was home for the time-being so I immediately rushed the recently fainted Ryosei into his room and hoped for the best that he'll be okay. Even though, I can see it in his eyes that its pupils are still moving insanely fast with rapid color changes. Then, I saw the box in the corner of my eye and out of curiosity, I decided to examine it and found some words that I couldn't comprehend on the bottom side. The next thing, I knew, I was compelled to open the box, despite knowing the story of Pandora's Box. As I opened it, a black mirror revealed itself on the cover's back with nothing else inside it but I could feel that my very essence, my very soul is being lurched out of my body. And the impossible thought passed into my mind and that is to test it on Ryosei.
As I approached him, still unconscious, I had second thoughts on what I was doing but even so, I opened the box, revealing him the mirror and his upper body lifted a little bit from his bed as five balls of light or I think those were souls that went out of his body and into the box with varying colors of yellow, black, red, orange and blue. All of which, I had sealed immediately into the box and directly approached Ryosei who had wakes up in a surprising manner, punches me in the face and involuntarily holds up my collar but even with all of those peculiarities with his awakening, I am most disturbed by the brown eyes that were staring into mine. I now see that this is not the person that I call my friend or brother.
