Chapter 12: Movie Theater Madness

As we walk into the movie theater I start to realize the piercing pain in my head. I shake it off thinking it may just be a headach from starring at the solid white semi old aged pages with small thin black writing of my mother's journal. I take a seat next to Phoebe and she smiles sympathetically.

"hun? are you gonna be ok?" she asks in slight sisterly way. I return the smile but with more confidence than I happen to have.

"yeah I'm just a little hungry. Uh, Caroline wanna come with me to get some snacks?" I ask hoping that she says yes. She looks at Sabrina and Phoebe then back at me and smiles.

"yeah sure... why not." she says getting up and following me to the snack and drink booth. We ordered 2 cokes, a mount dew and a diet pepsi. Then we got 2 medium popcorns, 4 m&ms and red licorice. As we walked back I noticed Caroline starring at me concerned. I stopped walking and turned to her.

"what?!" I snapped hoping that I just had something on my face so she didn't try to pry into business she had no reason being in. she closes her eyes and jumps at me yelling. I look away.

"I'm sorry I just... it's been a long and confusing day." I say feeling guilty for snapping at her. she shakes her head.

"no its ok I just wanted to now if you were ok I know what it's like when your parent just kind of hops off the radar." she says looking to the ground. I nod. we started to walk again when the piercing sound I was trying to avoid grew louder and more head splitting then before. I dropped the candy and a popcorn and fell to my knees as I held my head in pain I screamed. Caroline put everything on the ground beside her and knelt down towards me. she tried to calm me down but it wasn't working. I tried to tell her to get Phoebe and Sabrina but I couldn't. luckily they could hear me screaming from the movie theater. Phoebe was freaking out and grabbing all the food and drinks while Caroline and Sabrina helped me to get up and wapk as I continued to hold my head. Sabrina turned to Phoebe who was trying to pick up the last soda.

"seriously Pheebs. your saving the snacks when Lanie is going friggin crazy." Sabrina says scolding Phoebe.

"I haven't eaten since breakfast what do you want me to do starve." she over exaggerated the word starve. Sabrina shook her head and Phoebe grabbed the keys from my back pocket. if I wasn't going crazy I probably would have laughed at her earlier remark. I closed my eyes to try and blink the pain away. I felt Sabrina and Caroline get me in the car and I slowly drifted to sleep.

*Flashback in dream form.*

"Sabrina have you seen saraphina" I asked as I looked around. Sabrina looked at with concern and shook her head.
"there is a possibility Elizabeth or Mitchel have seen her." she replied trying to calm my over working nerves. I nod and we look for saraphina as we walk to Elizabeth's room. I was thinking about all the fun times I encountered with Saraphina. Saraphina was my pet. she was a small and young wolf. she was mostly grey but with solid white and black thrown in. And just like me she had electrifying blue eyes. I got her for my 10th birthday from my best friend Mitchel. I tucked a piece of naturally straight black hair behind my ear as I watch Mitchell exit his room.
"Mitchel!" I exclaimed excitedly. he stops and looks at me again with concern in his eyes. "have you seen saraphina? it's getting late and tomorrow is my 15 birthday and you know I won't be ok at the celebration with out her." I told him slightly whinning. He looked around a little before shaking his head no. I sigh sadly and he lifts my chin with his finger.
"don't worry Dilanie... we will find her." he reassured me. I smiled as I look deep into his sparkling eyes that appear grey.
"thank you Mitchel." I smiled then tried to look away.
"why don't I look for saraphina while you get some rest its a big day tomorrow." he says and just as he says it I yawn.
"good night Mitchel." I say before closing the door to my room.
I woke up the next morning to Mitchel humming. I walk into the kitchen and he smiled.
"good morning birthday girl." he says handing me a muffin. I smile. I was about to say thank you but my head began to ring and I heard a piercing sound I fell to the geou d screaming.
*end of flashback*

"Mitch!" I scream as I shot up. I realized that I was laying in my dad's room. I was breathing frantically as the door flew open and my dad, Sabrina and Phoebe appeared. I look at them as I held my chest trying to catch my breath. my dad sat next to me and wrapped me in a hug. I hugged back as tears streamed down my face. he stroked my hair and looked at my friends.

"who the hell is Mitch?" he asked trying to sound hushed but because I was a vampire I heard anyway. I breath in deeply and try to stop crying.

"Mitch is... was my best friend." I say as more tears stream down my face. Damon nods understandingly while he hugged me.

"wait I thought I was you best friend." Phoebe said trying to lighten the mood. Sabrina took it the wrong way and smacked her upside the head with a disapproving look.

"um ow!" Phoebe exclaims as she rubs the back of her head. I let out a small laugh and look at her.

"he disappeared before we met you." I say. we referring to me, Sabrina, lizzie and lexi. she nodded.

"I haven't seen Mitch since he turned me that day. he thought I was dying when I was in pain so he turned me but he felt guilty si he left and never came back." I managed between sobs. Damon held me tight and Sabrina and Phoebe embrassed me in a hug, too. I was struggling to keep my eyes open. I fought and I fought but I wasn't strong enough. I soon realize that I lost my small war as I reexpeareanced the dream when I fell asleep again.
