Weeks went by and Chris was completely ignoring me. I didn't blame him either. But I knew if I wanted to possibly save our friendship I would have to talk to him.
It was almost Halloween and I knew that my friends were wanting me to go to a party that Chris was hosting. But I didn't want to feel like I was invading him. I wanted to give him as much space as I could.
"Come on Luke. Please go," Elizabeth and Beatrice beg in unison.
"I don't feel like going. I'm probably going to go out with my little sister and trick or treat," I explain, trying to get out of going.
Lauren smacks the side of my shoulder. "You're coming."
I roll my eyes at her and turn my attention to Elizabeth.
"What time is the party?" I ask, giving in only because I knew Lauren would not stop.
"It starts at 8," Elizabeth states, blushing.
Ever since middle school, Elizabeth has had a crush on me. She's never said anything but it's obvious.
"Okay. I'll go," I say.
"YAY!" Elizabeth shouts.
"Calm... down," Mark and Olivia say in unison.
Elizabeth waves them off.
"Well. I need to get to my class," I say as I walk away.
The Halloween Party...
As I walk inside, the first person I notice across the room is Chris. He was talking to his friends. I tried not to stare at him as much but he caught me staring when he was looking around.
My friends began to walk off into different directions as Chris walks into a different room and out of my sight.
"Hey dude. Have a drink," some random person said, handing me a red solo cup. I grab the cup from his hand and thank him.
I take a big swig of the alcoholic beverage and then began to walk upstairs.
As I tried making my way to the bathroom, the halls were filled with people making out.
I walk into the bathroom and shut the door. The party had been going on for a couple hours before we got here.
I pull out my phone and message Max. "Hey dude. Why aren't you at the party?" I send the message as someone walks in.
I look up and notice that Chris was the one that walked in.
"I'm sorry. I'll wait outside," Chris says as he begins to make his way out.
I knew that this was going to be one of my only chances to make this right.
"Actually. Can I talk to you for a moment?" I ask as I put my phone away.
"Uh. Sure. I guess," Chris says as he closes the door and turns his attention onto me.
"I just wanted to apologize about that night when I kissed you. I'm not gay. It's just hard to explain but my mind got fuzzy and it just happened," I lie.
Chris smiles. "It's okay. Trust me, if you were gay I would know. And it's completely fine. We're cool," Chris says.
"Okay. Good," I say. I walk towards the door but before I could open it, the door slammed open.
"Hold on. I have to use the restroom," Lauren says, talking to Elizabeth and Olivia. Lauren turns around and notices me and Chris in the bathroom.
"Are you both fags? Get out of here," Lauren demands. I rush out of the bathroom and slam into another person.
I notice that it was Max and he was holding another boys hand.
"Oh hey Max," I say, smiling.
"Please don't do this," Max pleads.
"Who is he? Is he an ex?" The boy asks.
Max turns around. "No he's my brother," Max says.
The boy smiles and reaches his other hand out. "Nice to meet you. My name is Henry."
"Luke," I say as I shake his hand.
"Now that you finally met my boyfriend, can you kindly fuck off?" Max asks.
"Sure," I say as I lean in towards Max's ear, "make sure to use protection. We all know what happens upstairs during parties."
Max rolls his eyes and huffs loudly as he storms off with Henry.
The rest of the night went by fast. Lauren did eventually apologize and blamed the alcohol. I mainly hung out with Beatrice and Lauren that night.
2 am
The party was slowly dying down and by this time, I was sitting on a couch with Lauren, Beatrice, Mark, and Olivia. Elizabeth went home because some idiot threw up on her.
Everyone besides me was drunk or really close to drunk. We sat around talking about stories from elementary, middle, and high school.
"Luke. I need your help," I hear a voice call out. I look behind me and see Chris stumbling on the stairs. I stand up and walk over to him.
I help him to his bedroom, which was pretty easy because I've been to his house at least a million times.
I sit Chris down on the bed but he ends up dragging me down with him. Chris begins to giggle as he pushed me off of him.
We laid on the bed for a couple moments until I eventually got up but was stopped by Chris' hand.
"You okay?" I ask.
Chris lifts himself up and leans toward me and kisses me.
I freeze up as I become shocked that Chris is kissing me. I knew it had to of been the alcohol but it just felt so good.
Chris throws me back down onto the bed again as he climbs on top of me and kisses me passionately. He begins to slowly go down to my neck.
After a couple of minutes of Chris sucking on my neck, he takes his shirt off as he pulls mine up and begins to kiss my stomach.
I didn't know what to do. It just felt so good but I didn't know if I should stop him before it got into anything sexual.
Chris begins to unbutton my pants and unbuckle my belt as I begin to feel hard down there.
I was so scared so I screamed out telling Chris to stop.
Chris did as I said and looked at me confused. I get up and put my shirt on as Chris collapses onto the bed as I begin to cry.
"We can't do this because you are drunk. This isn't you. Even though I wished it was you, it can't be. I can't do this. I'm sorry Chris," I say as I turn around and notice that Chris had fallen asleep.
I stand up and walk out of the bedroom. I walk into the living room to see my friends still talking. I sit down on the couch and join in the talk until I passed out.
