I woke up Friday morning with nots in my stomache. My face was still stained with tears and I couldn't help choking up a little bit when I looked in the mirror. My mom walked in the room and smiled at me pretending not to see the tear stains.
"Hello beautiful how did you sleep?" She asked cheerfully.
"Fine mom." I lied it hurts sometimes that we don't act like a normal family and I don't really want to think about her on top of everything.
"Well, I have good news! auntie is pregnant again!" She smiled.
"Oh god seriously doesn't she already have like 5 kids!" I grimaced she needs to learn to use protection.
" Makenlee come on you should be happy." My mom complained. I stayed silent and started digging threw my clothes for something to wear. "So I guess you don't want to go visit your cousins and auntie with me then?"
"Why would I want to do that there all weird. Why would you go anyway?" I snapped at her. She sighed and sat on my bed.
"Family is family Makenlee you can't choose who your related to."
"Whatever when are you leaving?" I asked.
"This afternoon I'll probably be gone when you get home from school. I want you to come straight home Makenlee ok? Don't get in trouble while I'm gone."
"Ya whatever I need to get ready for school." I sighed. My mom stood up and left the room.
I grabbed some high waisted black pants and a pink half shirt and threw them on then I added some pink heels. I curled my hair and put on make up. I wanted to forget everything today and just have a good day up until the Bon fire anyway.
