She couldn't sleep, and she didn't know why. Maybe she missed Madrid? Maybe she missed her family over there? Even though she'd been living in New York for a couple months now, she still wasn't used to it.
So she did what gave her peace. She played with her powers. Tzipporah Avila possessed sonic screams, psychometry, telekinesis and cosmic manipulation and blasts. Along with that, she had enhanced strength, speed, and healing.
Psychometry was the way she got to be a doctor so quickly. She would just touch a book and instantly know everything in it.The young doctor lived along in an apartment, so she wasn't worried about being caught. She then used her telekinesis to make all her books float in the air.
Soon enough, her brown eyes went to sleep.
~
Her sleep didn't last for long though, she was a doctor remember? Her alarm turned on, immediately waking Tzipporah up.
She quickly used her telekinesis to turn off her and alarm. The young doctor put on her uniform, brushed her teeth and was out the door.
Once she arrived at the hospital, she was greeted by the front desk nurse, who also happened to be her best friend.
"Hey Avila!" The blonde told her.
"Good morning Sydney."
She stopped by the desk and Sydney already had Tzipporah's coffee ready for her.
"Black, just how you like it."
"Thanks, love you!"
"Love you more!" Was all Tzipporah heard before getting to the surgery area.
"Good morning Dr. Avila." Dr. Strange said to Tzipporah. She loved the way he said her name.
"Good morning, Stephen."
"Get any sleep?"
"Not really. But what can you do? We're doctors, sleeping isn't in our nature."
Stephen smiled, and nodded in agreement.
"What?" She asked.
"Nothing."
"Something is funny, tell me."
"It's just your accent, it's so cute." Stephen said, with a smirk, and walked away; leaving Tzipporah blushing.
~
Hours had passed, and the hospital was still quiet. Not much was happening. Just small incidents and surgeries here and there. That left Tzipporah and Stephen with nothing to do.
Tzipporah was in the conference, just on her phone, and drinking more coffee. She didn't want to fall asleep on duty.
But she was falling asleep, her eyes would almost close but then flutter open again.
"Sleeping beauty, there's a patient that needs the both of us." Stephen said walking in.
"W-What? Oh." She got up quickly and followed the doctor.
