"Welcome back Polar Blaze how was your visit to WaterfallRange?" Lavender Willow asked Polar Blaze as she clumsily got up from her spot and practically ran into Polar Blaze.
"It was fine. Lavender Willow is something wrong?" Polar Blaze asked Lavender Willow with concern.
"Yes something is wrong I can't see!" Lavender Willow anxiously shouted at Polar Blaze. Polar Blaze took one moment to think about what she had just heard.
"Ok then come with me please." Polar Blaze said as she looked at Lavender Willow.
"Oh, my wolf dung Lavender Willow you have gone blind, and you mustn't tell any fox to keep MountainRange safe." Polar Blaze told Lavender Willow urgently as she finished looking Lavender Willow over.
"Well, coyote dung to my luck it absolutely is just bad! Blind I can't be blind that is so wolf brained! why me? does it have something to do with the prophecy?" Lavender Willow asked Polar Blaze aesthetically for she knew it was weakness to have to be a blind leader.
"Luck had nothing of the sort to do with this, and since I don't believe in StarRange you might as well ask the others if it is some prophecy, Lavender Willow, honestly I am beginning to think that I might have to become more grumpy like River Song to ever be happy here. Darkness clouds not only my judgement in StarRange, but many others too! Now get out and being blind isn't all bad you will have highly good hearing." Polar Blaze told Lavender Willow cautiously without looking into her blind eyes.
"Oh, Polar Blaze whatever happened to the young healer I knew not long ago? You were the one who gave us the prophecy; that we must see with six sets of eyes and find a heart that is meant for the light not dark and be able to see as good with sight when one is blind. I must be the blind fox and I have seen five other ways before and I believe that we must stay strong even in this time of doubt. Now even if StarRange has been blocked I will remain strong in my faith to them not let a darkness so strong through." Lavender Willow told Polar Blaze and looked directly at her with her blind eyes.
"Lavender Willow how can you keep up having so much optimism even in the fate of shadows and dark?" Polar Blaze asked Lavender Willow with thoughts churning inside of her head.
"Faith is having courage to believe in yourself even though some may say not to believe and I have to be brave enough to sacrifice all that I love." Lavender Willow answered Polar Blaze confidently before she walked out of the healers den. Surly I can make Polar Blaze believe again even without my sight, Lavender Willow wondered to herself.
"Hey, mom I just wanted to say that we should maybe hold some ceremonies." Storm Whisker suggested to her mother.
"Yes, it is time Storm Whisker. Let all RangeMates gather beneath LavenderCliff for a Range meeting! Today it is time for some apprentices to become survivors. Dew Paw, River Paw, Fiery Paw, Little Paw, and Rabbit Paw come here please. Aright Dew Paw you first; have you learned the ways of our code and promise to uphold them even with your life and Juniper Tail do you think he has shown everything that needs to be able to survive?" Lavender Willow called out.
"Yes, he has passed his final training with exceptional skill." Juniper Tail told Lavender Willow proudly.
"And I do promise to uphold the code with my life just like Tiny Song did once." Dew Paw swore solemnly.
"Then by the spirits of StarRange I pronounce you Dew Rain a survivor of MountainRange." Lavender Willow announced and Dew Rain licked her ear in respect, while the Range yowled their support.
"Now River Paw come here. Reed Heart has your apprentice proven that he has what it takes to survive and River Paw do you promise to uphold our code?" Lavender Willow asked River Paw and Reed Heart.
"Yes he has Lavender Willow and he has proven to be strong." Reed Heart said proudly.
"I too promise to uphold the code." River Paw announced.
"Good then I pronounce you River Breeze this Range welcomes your endless strength to it." Lavender Willow said as the Range yowled out River Breeze's name. Lavender Willow then went on to make: Fiery Paw Fiery Willow, Little Paw Little Fawn, Rabbit Paw Rabbit Rush, and last of all Skye Paw Skye Fall.
"This is a good season for MountainRange we have apprentices to make as well Joy, Hope, Love, Feather, Jay, Mountain, Blue, and Walnut come here please. It is well past time for me to make you apprentices. Joy you are now Joy Paw and your mentor will be Skye Fall. Hope you are now Hope Paw and I will mentor you. Love your now Love Paw and Rabbit Rush will mentor you. Feather your now Feather Paw and your mentor is Little Fawn. Jay your now Jay Paw Fiery Willow will be your mentor. Mountain your now Mountain Paw and River Breeze will be your mentor. Blue your now Blue Paw and Dew Rain will be your mentor. Now Walnut your Walnut Paw and Pine Cone will be your mentor.
