I ran through the forest. My black nightgown contrasted with my pale skin perfectly and my dark black hair cascaded to my waist and my bright green eyes were wide with fear. My breathing came ragged and I just thought to myself, the forest has to end sometime. Feet thudded behind me and I turned around to see a man chasing me.
"Stop running!" he called to me. The footsteps stopped and I heard a thud behind me. I took another quick glance at the big black wolf towering towards me. I turned around to gawk. I started to turn and run again when my ankle got twisted in some tree roots. My leg twisted painfully and I fell to the ground. The wolf stalekd closer now adn was leaning in close. Its sniffed my hair and I could faintly smell a musky hazelnut sent on him... I squeezed my eyes shut and when I opened them a very muscular man was leaning into me almsot cradling me in his arms. He was only wearing a pear of black boxers and I could just since my cheeks heating up.
"Victoria," he breathed his voice low and full of longing, "Will you be mine forever?" he asked and I let my jaw drop.
"I don't even know you," I said softly and he laughed.
"I shouldn't have asked but I hope I will again later after we are aquainted. Sweet dreams sweetheart," he said before grabbing my wrist and licking it. When his tounge went back into his mouth I stared at the prety cresent moon tattooed on my wrist. It was navy blue and in the of my wrist. He also looked me in the eyes and let somethign fall into my hands.
"Please wear it. It will be easier to find you if you do," He said and I looked at the silver cresent moon on the silver chain.
"O-Okay," I stuttered and felt his arms going around my neck to put the necklace on me.
"See you later sweetheart," He winked and I frowned.
What the heck happenned. Hell must of froze over because I was pretty sure I was crazy. I stood up and heard more footsteps bounding towards me. Oh sweet lord not this again! I bolted and with each step My face, arms, or legs were cut by another branch or bruised by another twig or rock. I decided to look back to see if it was the guy who's name I had never found out or if was a new stranger willing to give me more jewelry. Instead it was a deer. It knocked me off my feet and I flew hitting a beautiful willow I fell to the ground and rolled staring up and the tree and wondering why it's leaves were crying for me. I stared at the trunk where there was a single word. It made me shiver. Then everything went black. The word haunting me forever. MINE.
I woke up and hit my head on my brothers forehead.
"Owe sis, what do you have for a forehead? Iron?" He said rubbing his head and muttering.
"What are you doing here?' i asked hugging him. He returned the hug and smiled.
"Scholarship ended last week remember???" He laughed and I totally blanked. Oh that's right he was on a football scholarship til the school closed down.
"So are you moving with us?" I asked and his answer confused me even more.
"I am moving with you," He said and I saw dad in the front yard pulling boxes out of the moving van and putting them into another.
"Wha-" I began to ask and my dad came in.
"Good you are awake." He smiled and me and my mom sighed.
"Break the news honey," My dad smiled at her and she stared at me.
"You and your brother are moving to Oregon." She said pasting a smile on her face.
"I though I was moving to hanasa or nanasa or something like that," I said back to her.
"Manasa," My father corrected and then continued, "And it's just that your mom and I are getting old and need some time to ourselves and plus you said you didn't want to move to Manasa so we aranged for you to go to Oregon with your brother."
"Your brother has agreed to be your legal gaurdian and the papers are already turned in." My mother said shrugging her shoulder as if saying "oops"
"No what your telling me is you don't want kids anymore so you are making your son became the parent of your 15 year old daughter!" I yelled and grabbed my tan cardigan. I pulled it over my head since it was drizzling outside and grabbed my brothers arm.
"Whatever lets go," I said casting a glance back at my parents, "Bye mom, love you dad!"
"Touchy touchy," My brother said peeling my hans off his sleeve.
"Shut up Rick," I mutterred and he smirked.
"That is no way to talk to your father," He gasped and I rewarded him with my best smile too.
"If your my dad you have to pay for my food and I choose Dairy Queen." I grinned and he mumbled about how I was a spoiled brat.
After we go icecream and were back in the big suburban my brother owned (we had stacked all of my crap in the truck and back seats, since my brother already had his stuff there), I grinned at him at batted my eyelashes like a fool.
"What do you want?" He asked and I laughed.
"Who is my mom going to be?" I crackd up and even he chuckled but then turned red.
"Crap," He muttered and I stared at him.
"You have a girlfriend!" I cried happily and then my jaw dropped.
"Yeah one who doesn't know I now house a fifteen year old girl." He said slowly and I hit his arm.
"Come's with the package man," I said and he smiled.
"Not the bedroom one," he winked and I madae the ew face.
"You are so disgusting!" I said taking a bite out of my now empty icecream cone.
"I know," He said and winked again. I hit his shoulder and smiled.
Maybe living with my brother would be too horrible.
We were halfway to Brookings, Oregon. My new town. Apparently it was also a small town but fairly medium sized. It was right next to Gold Beach which sounded apsolutely gorgeous from the stories Rick told me. Our house or more like cabin was surrounded by the forest and Rick said he even saw a wolf in our backyard the week he moved in. The talk of the animal made my hand fly up to feel around my neck and sure enough the necklace was there and I finally noticed the outline of a cresent moon on my wrist. I licked my thumb and wiped at it and Rick smiled.
"Nice tattoo," He commented and I smiled back.
"Thanks," I whispered.
In my head I was really saying, "Since when did dreams come true," and then my sarcastic side sneered in my mind and replied, "Since you went to disney land." Or dear mother of pearl...
I was going crazy!
